Nervosa's reservation system is horrible. I could not make a reservation for 2 people on line or on the phone. The only time they show availability on ANY day is 1130am. Perhaps they want walk ins only?
I love this location and place. Its got great ambiance but I am finding the food a little on the weak side lately. The pizza does not seem properly cooked and the ceasar salad is a bit of a joke. I wonder if the quality goes a bit down during the summer when they have too much volume and a small kitchen?? I will continue to go because of the ambiance, service and location but I think they need to do some quality control.
Great food - pastas calamarata mafalde ans pizza nduja funghi were all great. Risotto with short ribs (meat was a tad dry and underseasoned). It was my third time here. Men servers tend to be more courteous than women servers- just an observation.
It was way too noisy and busy on the roof top patio. I don't think there were enough servers as we didn't see ours too often. I definitely wouldn't sit on the rooftop again. No attention to noise reduction was made when they renovated up there. I literally had to yell and bend across the table to hear my friend which ruined my experience!!
Nice place, great patio. Food is good. Pizza are basic but tasty
Price are ok
Friendly staff
Good vibe
I had the Rigatoni Bolognas ragú at $25.00. It was low on the, portion, meat and also skimpy on the sauce. Had to ask/beg 3 times for some cheese. (My friend's pizza crust was soggy not crisp.) Getting our server's attention was harder than flagging a taxi during a snow storm. This venue coasts on its location-location on Yorkville which accounts for the atmosphere four stars.
I always order the Mafalde ai Funghi—a rich, creamy pasta with porcini, portobello, crimini, and oyster mushrooms topped with parmigiano and truffle paste. It’s the perfect dish for a cozy night out.
This charming little trattoria hits the mark for a romantic date or a celebratory evening. Nothing beats the vibe of their wrap-around patio lined with flower bouquets—ideal for whispering over wine.
One of my favorite perks? They don’t take reservations—unlike most Yorkville hotspots—so you can spontaneously decide to go out without the stress.
And don’t miss their Aperol Spritz—2 oz Aperol, Prosecco, soda for $18. It’s easily the best Spritz I’ve had in Toronto—bright, refreshing, just the right balance of bitter and bubbly to start an evening.
Definitely did not meet expectation. The server rushed us bringing the entrees and the appetizers at the same time. I found a hair in my food and told the server and she said that was awful but did not offer anything to compensate us for it. We paid the bill including a tip and left frustrated. I don't think we'll be coming back.
A Passer by and i decided to finish the work week with patio italian dining. A perfect Friday experience.

My dad and I went for lunch and were waiting on a third person (my sister). Towards the end of the meal a hostess (the black girl with braids) asked us if the third person was still coming and we said yes. In the end my sister was a no show since she was running late and on our way out that same hostess said in a very rude tone “ohhh so the third person didn’t end up coming”, and then in a very rude sassy tone proceeded to say “You know if you guys just wanted a bigger table you could have just requested it and we would have given it to you” as if we lied to get a bigger table. Very rude girl, purposely said in in a high pitched, mean girl, sassy tone. I couldn’t care less for a bigger table I just thought my sister would make it in time for lunch.
This used to be my favorite Italian restaurant in town. The food is consistently excellent, and I always appreciated the warm, family-run atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service has noticeably declined during my recent visit.
The server on the first floor was unprofessional. When she poured water into our glasses, she didn’t stop even after they were already full — it seemed like she was distracted and looking elsewhere. I also requested light cream for my pasta, but it clearly wasn’t. To make matters worse, despite many empty tables around us, she repeatedly rushed us throughout the meal — even before we had finished our two bottles of sparkling water.
An excellent meal in an always reliable choice on the heart of Yorkville! Delicious pizza and kale salad topped off with a pillowy chocolate mousse for dessert! A must try!
Must try: Tiramisu
Great place to catch up with an old friend. Our waiter, Connor was superb. We just needed salads and a nice place to sit and chat. It was perfect! The music from the next door shop was really loud....one of the kitchen staff happily asked him to turn it down! It was so nice. I didn't even ask him too! Highly recommend.
