I have been a loyal customer of this bakery for over 35 years. I regularly drive all the way from Woodstock, Ontario to purchase cakes, pastries, and groceries because I have always trusted their quality.
On December 6, as I have done many times before, I placed an order for food and a cake. Unfortunately, this time my experience was very disappointing. One item from my order was missing, the cake had a bad taste, and the tripe I ordered also tasted off. After eating the tripe, I became sick.
I initially left a review to share my concerns. The bakery responded saying they would like to speak with me. In good faith, I removed my review, expecting to be contacted. However, it has now been quite some time and I have still not heard anything back.
After being a customer for decades, this lack of follow-up and accountability is extremely disappointing. Poor customer service, especially after a long history of loyalty, is unacceptable. I truly expected better.

This place is a true establishment, and the experience of your visit is just as much a part of the appeal as the food itself. I love coming here in all seasons, especially the summer when all the regulars are sipping their espressos leisurely on the patio, and the winter when everything inside feels so cozy and festive. This is a great spot to pick up a host gift as everything is so beautifully presented. Obviously their cannolis and custard tarts are fantastic, but the options are staggering so give yourself some time to browse!

Ordered a custom number cake a while ago. It came out really nice. The place cab be crowded but it’s really good
I was very excited to introduce this bakery to my son who wanted to buy me the perfect birthday cake. While the taste was good, the appearance seemed really weird. It was grey blue and made me wonder if they had made an error in their icing. A strawberry cake should have one icing, no ? It just didn’t seem right and didn’t make for great pics or aesthetics. Was disappointed even though I tell everyone about this bakery and have ordered cakes more than once. Wonder what went wrong ? Also really felt like they skimped on the strawberries on the top of the cake. 3 strawberries, really ? If I hadn’t sent my kid who is 22 and picked up myself, I definitely would have remarked on all this ! What a bust.
