My friend took me to this cafe, as he said that he enjoyed the drinks and food items on numerous occasions. He is a vegetarian, so he was very happy to have discovered a plant-based cafe focusing on Japanese food and drinks. He could not wait to show me this cafe and I was excited to discover a new cafe in my city! The cafe was small yet cozy, the wood panels and shades of brown evoked a relaxing vibe. The place was full of people drinking, eating and chatting, although it was only 11:30am on a Saturday morning. He decided to get a Katsu sandwich (shokupan bread, Japanese mustard, "chicken" cutlet, shredded cabbage, and a sweet katsu sauce). He also got a small Matcha Latte (with soy milk) for me. He said that the Katsu sandwich was good. However, he felt that there could have been more "chicken" cutlet pieces and more veggies inside, to match with the price point. I also agreed that while my Matcha Latte with soy milk was good, as it was made with soy milk, the latte was not as rich as I would have liked. It tasted a bit watery, like a diluted latte. The quality of matcha was great, as I could taste a light bitterness in the drink. Overall, we would give this place four out of five stars. Quality food and drinks, friendly service, and relaxing vibe. A unique cafe on College Street West area, where one can relax and enjoy drinking and/or eating.

Quite a lovely place with limited seating but very nice aesthetic, ambiance, and lighting okay. Seems like they didn't have much savory items when we went later afternoon. The quality of the coffee was a nice medium roast, if you like philz ecstasy it's that sort of flavor with a hint of salted caramel like miso. The old fashioned donut was a pleasant surprise, instead of a typical glaze/dough the icing is sort of caramelized on? But quite sweet. Overall, lovely place, would come again but very limited seating with like 3 single person tables so not the best study spot

As a non-vegan, Tsuchi cafe's food was really good. I was very surprised by how delicious it was. Though they have a limited seated area, this place is definitely a must try. I loved the Karepan and the walnut brownie. The pistachio natcha tart was okayish. The flan was really good!

Lovely location and atmosphere. The drinks took awhile, though it is a bit busy. Got the Matcha and Kokuto Mocha. Matcha was light and not very strong, but is preferred. Less sweet than the Starbucks matcha for sure. Mocha was chocolaty and foamy on top, probably one of the better ones out there. Glad they had Oat milk alternative.

Matcha latte had a strong flavour and was served at the perfect temp. Also, the tiramisu tarte was so lovely, I couldn’t believe it was vegan!!Wifi was a bit spotty and there are limited seats (~10 in total) so, perhaps not the best work/study space for more than 2 people. But, great cafe nonetheless!

Great vegan Japanese place. Small, limited menu but tasty. Surprisingly decadent chocolate chip cookies. Don't like that you have to eat out of takeaway containers though. I would eat here more often if they used proper crockery and cutleryVegetarian options: Vegan

My partner and I will always try and go to Tsuchi whenever we are in the area. We have tried many of their menu items and their seasonal items. I often bring their baked goods as gifts when visiting family and friends and it’s always a hit. The kabocha cheesecake they had back in the fall was amazing! Haru is incredibly kind and sweet!

So far I have tried the matcha-misu, flan, and bread pudding but my favourite dessert from here has gotta be the tiramisu! It tastes like an actual cheesecake?? But it’s completely vegan!! I’m so shocked because its hard to make creamy vegan desserts. Normally I just get fruit from weddings or restaurants.Im gonna get a whole one for my bday because this is my new fav dessert! The mushroom soup was also really good and quite filling

Great vegan place that supports various small businesses! The pistachio matcha tart and the onigiri set were the highlight, but the drinks weren’t the best as the matcha and miso caramel flavours weren’t strong enough. However, the miso soup and pickles were amazing and super flavourful, while the onigiri; while very flavourful and presented well, was hard to assemble. The prices are also quite high, albeit it is a vegan restaurant which also keeps their utensils sustainable. The lighting and seating are nice, but I believe this cafe was just alright and great if you have the money.

Friends and I all got different drinks and all of them tasted off. The matcha tasted fishy? The miso macchiato tasted watered down. I also had a curry bun which as OK but really oily. Overall the vibe of the cafe is nice but the food was OK and
