This is my go-to coffee and gourmet food shop in the Junction. The owners are invariably cheerful and always remember my various allergies. I love the quiches and biscotti in particular, and I often get tempted by the amazing croissants. Everything is homemade and delicious, with many ingredients fresh from the garden.
Waste of money. Got coffee and a matcha, the owner(?) clearly had no idea what he was doing.
Had yummiest vegan empanada and iced mocha. Mocha was just the way I wanted đ cutest store, good service. Canât wait to try other items.
Overall good
As others have mentioned, drinks and customer service are bland. I also asked to use their washroom. The girl told me thereâs a passcode. I then waited by the door for her to open it but after waiting a few mins she just continues to do her own thing with her back turned with no further acknowledgment. I always try to support local but this makes it hard
Love this local gem! Terrific sandwiches (breakfast Sammie is a fave - that chutney!!)(Moroccan chicken is A+). Love the homemade refreshing drinks and baked goods. And the friendliest staff. Thanks!!
Popped in for a Bocia Breakfast Sandwich and an Americano on a Saturday morning and it was everything I could have hoped for. Good tunes, good vibes, good people.
Nice coffee and cute gift ideas
The shortbread and plain butter tarts are the best I've had. And I am a butter tarter! Plus good coffee. Definitely worth a stop.
Cool vibe and coffee is standard, but the sandwich I ordered was overpriced. For $15+ tax and tip I expected a substantial portion or at least a unique experience. It was a very average tuna salad on a small croissant, nothing else. Several other places on the block with better food and value. Hope they adjust for others but I wonât be back.

While this shop and café has a very cosy vibe, the menu is a bit overpriced for the quality of food and drink that they serve. The drinks are watery and customer service could definitely be warmer. I've witnessed this place requesting help but when they hire, they tend to treat employees adjusting to the new setting with little patience while holding them to unrealistic expectations. Clear communication with employees could definitely be improved to make the experience better for customers as well. I hope this feedback is constructive and helpful!
The shop itself is nice and the home goods are cute. The café itself lacks on strength of coffee drinks, and their service attitude isn't the most welcoming compared to other cafés on the same road. They often have 'Help Wanted' posted out front and from what I've seen, don't give new baristas a fair chance to settle into the role, hence a constant rotation of new hires.
I understand that it's a small business, however more respect and appreciation for customers and new staff would go a long way. I genuinely hope my feedback can bring about some positive changes for the shop and surrounding community!
Toad in the hole is absolutely the best perfectly cooked with a runny egg yolk, and it tastes just as beautiful as it looks. And letâs not forget their Joe Louis, focaccia breads, and sandwiches theyâre all delicious!
cool place, cool guy working. Coming back again
