Visited here for the first time in a long time. The flavor and quality of the food is still great and tastey as it eas years ago. My mom and I enjoyed our meal. I would definitely recommend a visit here and try any Dosa as their all delicious and made very well. Happy munching all and enjoy yoyr meals! ✌🏽

Udupi Palace is my Home away from Home. Whenever I have a yearning for authentic, delicious, South Indian Vegetarian cuisine, I head down to Gerrard Street to the warm, welcoming atmosphere of Udupi Palace, a practice I’ve maintained for about four decades. The owner Hubert, and his business partner Alwyn often stop by my table for a friendly chat and to ensure my order is up to their exacting standards. My favourite order consists of a hot, crisp Onion Rava Masala Dosa and a plain, soothing Lassi or, more recently, a hot, frothy Kaddak Chai. Over the years, many of my friends have made their entree into the appealing aromas and tastes of Indian Cuisine, through my introducing them to the vast choices of this endearing restaurant. Besides being easily accessible by Public Transit, there’s always the choice of ample street parking. Returning home to Toronto from a holiday abroad or heading out to destinations where this rather complex cuisine might not be readily available, I head over to Udupi Palace.

Been here a few times. Love the food. Great Dosas, live the paperthin dosas. I think they got a little stingy with the Aloo...Add more Aloo man!
The shami Kebab (Soy based) was surprisingly good! It was soft, looked like actual shami kebabs...i was impressed. I tried the pineapple lassi last time...First place i heard selling a pineapple lassi.. It was beyond expectations, really liked it. This time had the Chickoo milkshake. It was good.
Will be coming back

I always get thali from this place from doordash which is quite good with a lot of curry options and pappad. The only thing I wish they did was to add more rice and reducing curries and add raita then it would be even more perfect. I do recommend this place though.

My first visit at their new location, but as always, had a great experience there and will definitely be back! 😀

Visited this place after 22 years! It’s now at a new location, having moved from the original spot. The food was still good — simple, homely, and comforting. Of course, with so many newer and more authentic options around, this restaurant has been pushed a bit away from the mainstream, but it still holds its charm.

The experience at this restaurant was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. One staff member named Manish was particularly disrespectful. His behavior was rude, and he was overheard passing comments from the kitchen area — something no customer should ever have to witness in any establishment.Such conduct reflects not only a lack of respect for customers but also a serious problem in the restaurant’s culture. I would strongly urge the management to take immediate action regarding this issue and provide proper training in customer service and diversity awareness. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values basic decency and respect.

Me and my family are great fans of this restaurant. Excellent place to spend precious family time together. The food quality in terms of freshness and taste never failed to impress me.

First time at their new location since the basement one. Dosa and other appetizers were fine but not sensational like what I remembered. The Masala Dosa’s potato stuffing lacked robust flavour and was rather unseasoned - not quite the finger licking and ‘pls don’t let the food end’ experience for me. That said, will definitely give other items another try to better gauge how they stack up.

Excellent and affordable food. I had the thali and it was great. Lots of variety, not too spicy. We were told it may take some time but we'd rather have it prepared fresh and get it later than have it warmed up for the sake of speed.
