I don’t understand what the hype is about.
The Japanese cheesecake from a t&t store is way better.
This one just tasted like an egg tart. Texture was nice and fluffy though.
They also don’t sell slices so you have to buy an entire cheesecake. It’s only $14.95 so not a huge deal, it is a lot for one person though.
I just love Uncle Tetsu's Japanese cheesecake. The Ube flavored cheesecake throws me off a bit because I know what the real Ube tastes like and they are extremely hard to get and harvest. Supply is very limited around the world. Fluffy cheese cake is all I can think about whenever I eat this. 😆 Sigh.. 15$ per cake, it's a luxury nowadays.
Uncle Tetsu has relocated to the North East side at Dundas and Bay Street (Atrium on the Bay). They used to be on the North West side (Greyhound Bus Terminal).
I remembered when they first opened across the street, I lined up for 1.5 hours to get a hold of 1 out of 12 cheese cakes that came out of their small oven. They were selling it for $10 bucks or less for 1 unit back then. That was 2015. Fast forward, they still have a line up, but not as bad of a wait as before,...
