We had a great time at UNO Bistro!
On Fridays, they host live music nights, and we were truly impressed by the amazing atmosphere, the incredibly friendly staff, and delicious food.

The young lady who performed sang so deeply and passionately from her heart.

Thank you for your stance in support of Ukraine. 🇺🇦
UNO Bistro has our highest recommendation and we will definitely be back!

A little piece of Ukraine right here in Toronto

We randomly stopped by Uno Bistro and ended up discovering a true hidden gem. The moment we walked in, we felt warmth — in the atmosphere, in the décor, and especially in the food.

We were lucky to catch their soup of the day — солянка (solyanka) — a rich, flavorful, hearty Ukrainian soup that instantly brought comfort. It tasted just like home. Served with a slice of fresh bread and sour cream — simple and perfect.

We also tried chicken Kyiv with mashed potatoes, crepes, and some delicious sauces on the side — every bite was full of flavor.
The food was fresh, homemade, and truly made with care. Portions were generous, and the prices pleasantly surprised us — super reasonable for the quality!

The staff was very kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more special. And the small details — like the shelves of Ukrainian books on the wall — made me emotional. It felt like a soft, nostalgic hug from home.

Highly recommend this place if you want to taste real Ukrainian soul food and feel a piece of home away from home.

We visited Uno Bistro hoping to try some traditional Ukrainian food and ordered the borscht, chicken Kyiv with a side of perogies, and a cocktail called the Zelensky — which was fun to try, especially since it was inspired by the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

The borscht was okay — not bad, but not particularly memorable. We asked the server if the broth was meat-free, and she assured us it was, but it turned out to be beef-based, which we didn’t appreciate.

The chicken Kyiv raised some concerns. Since there didn’t seem to be a proper kitchen on-site, I suspected it might not be freshly cooked. As expected, it tasted frozen and was overly oily, lacking the buttery texture you’d typically expect. The perogies on the side were average.

If you’re just looking for a quick bite and some drinks, this place might work. But if you’re seeking an authentic and freshly prepared Ukrainian dining experience, I’d suggest exploring other options.

Ordered Shashlyk via Uber Eats from here. Received the most tough to chew, tasteless meat I've eaten in my life, looks like it was cooked yesterday and delivered today. Even my dog had hard tome chewing it. Was really excited to try and ended up super disappointed. At least uber refunded the cost of my meal. Can't recommend coming here, there are much better Ukranian restaurants in Toronto

What a find! Service and food are excellent. The pricing is very reasonable. Should be great when they open their patio for the summer season. I'd definitely recommend

Their food is amazing!! I crave the vanrenyky and borsch every week.
One small note: if you are ordering delivery from them, don’t microwave it with the container it comes with, it is not microwave safe and almost lit on fire

GUYS. ITS SO GOOD. Like unreal food. The Varenyky both steamed and fried taste so good HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Aandd the Nalysnyky is also super tasty. I cant pronounce any of these words but would 1000% order again.

Wonderful spot for catching up with friends, getting a work lunch or coming to catch ur favorite team play! They also do catering, takeout with the major delivery partners and private events! A great mix of a local coffee shop and causal dining restaurant!
