I have not eaten at their restaurant but I can't say enough good things about Veloute. They catered a family party for us. The food was excellent - many of our guests commented on how good the food was - and they went out of their way to make the evening absolutely perfect for us!
Thank you 1000 times! We highly recommend Veloute and are looking forward to dining there in the new year!

Hidden gem! Lovely space with top notch food and service. Fawzi is a master Chef, assisted by his partner Alise as sommelier.

The burrata ravioli was heavenly. Delicious food and wine pairings in an inviting atmosphere.

Excellent value. Enjoy!

What a great spot! Would have never known this place existed except I was searching for a thanksgiving dinner offering. Free Valet for the car was a great start. Going into a condo for a meal felt a bit different but we didn’t let that throw us off. The prix fixe thanksgiving menu was fantastic. The pumpkin soup, moist turkey with great stuffing and homemade gravy and cramberrry sauce. Delicious!! The service was great. And the chef came out to check on the meal and we told him it was fantastic. Very happy we made the trek from midtown. May just be an annual tradition. Highly recommend!

Came here tonight for dinner with my Mother for Summerlicious. From our server William (who was phenomenal) well all the servers to that matter, to the ambiance, everything was perfect. It's really a hidden gem of a restaurant. We will be returning!

Stellar hidden gem of a restaurant. The food was fantastic. The burratini dish was so flavourful and fresh. The mini baguette was baked perfectly and the balsamic reduction served with it was so delicious. I had the catch du jour and it was heavenly. Cooked perfectly and accompanied by wasabi infused mashed potatoes that should be their own menu item. My meal was filling yet light. My partner had steak frites and he said the steak melted in his mouth. The fries were skin on and fried perfectly as well. We shared the lemon choux au craqueline for dessert and it was delightful. The lemon flavours were delicate but oh so good. Finished it all off with a very tasty americano(ty William). The staff are very attentive with a service quality that makes you feel like they are courting you. Thank you all. We will be back.

Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm!
The duck confit pasta was sooo rich and delicious. I really shouldn’t have ordered the bread, but I couldn’t let the sauce from the grilled calamari go back to the kitchen.
Relaxed atmosphere, hand made food, cooked to order. Now excuse me while I dive into the home made peach cobbler that has cooled off while I write this.

Velouté is a restaurant that is really under the radar for a great dining experience. I had ordered the lobster cake and the chicken parmigiano for the evening and the food was absolutely spot on. The location is on the bottom of a condominium complex right off Lakeshore Blvd. West and I have to say, its atmosphere was absolutely humble and the waiting staff there was incredibly patient with us. Unfortunately I had failed to mention there was an egg allergy for a person I was dining with but the head chef there, Fawzi as I recall, was able to accommodate our order very quickly as the potato cake had egg. Chef Fawzi shows incredible integrity to show that he had recreated another order very quickly and instilled confidence as the person with the egg allergy is extremely sensitive to it, and it absolutely was not necessary at that point to prove anything else. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to find a gem in Toronto.

Unfortunately we did not get the Mother's day 3-course meal, but it was still amazing.

Three of us dined last night at Veloute@Palace Pier. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious: oysters, lamb, salmon, and pasta. The wine was superb. William and Zin's service could not have been more professional, kind, and accommodating. Oddly, there is no external signage for this wonderful neighbourhood gem, which would raise the appeal of the Palace Pier condos, but go for the food, wine, ambience and experience. We gave it an 11 out of 10.

A hidden jewel! Nestled away in the Palace Pier condo complex, Veloute Bistro is less well known than the quality of its food and service deserve. My husband and I enjoyed our first post-pandemic meal out after discovering Veloute among the many restaurants participating in Winterlicious. Unlike some places that had limited-time seatings (understandable but annoying) we were not rushed as we savoured 3 delightful courses plus a classic lime daiquiri to start the evening. The cocktail is not on the restaurant's standard menu, but Alise was able to create a delicious version of it. The staff was also most obliging in decanting our full-bodied red wine selection in advance of our arrival so it could "open up" in time for the main course. The Winterlicious menu duplicated a lot of Veloute's regular fare, and offered a varied and generous selection. The Caesar appetizer was somewhat unconventional with finely chopped romaine, but had a classic dressing with fresh parmigiano reggiano cheese. The Warm Lobster Crab Cake was even better, with a crisp panko coating and touches of smoked salmon and spicy guacamole. We both had the steak frites with rosemary and garlic mayonnaise, a bistro classic done to perfection, and wound up the meal with a deliciously delicate creme brulee accompanied by capuccinos. All highly impressive! Chef Fawzi is clearly a master of his craft, and we will definitely return to celebrate more special occasions at this lovely restaurant.
