Second time we ordered a cake here and they absolutely outdid themselves. The baptism cake we got last year was beautiful but the birthday cake they just did for us was outstanding! The team was able to recreate my reference picture perfectly and the taste was fantastic. Super fast and friendly communication, highly recommend them!

Love the vintage cake decorating workshop at Velvet Lane Cakes!! Me and my girls had the best time with Danielle - she’s so incredibly patient and friendly and made the 2.5 hour class fly by! Despite all being new to cake decorating, all our cakes turned out so wonderful and professional looking! It’s a perfect activity to do with your friends and it’s such a treat being able to bring your cake home as well to enjoy!

Sorry to say but, the Banana Pudding was the only reason I'd make a trip to Velvet Lane as the rest of the desserts we tried were dry.
Unfortunately, not only did the size of their packaging decrease while the price remained the same, the overall quality took a nosedive as it tasted off and definitely different from how it was being made prior.

Their coffee? Smooth, rich, and perfectly crafted—seriously one of the best cups I’ve had in a while. And while I didn’t grab one this time, their cupcakes are what they’re famous for—decadent, beautifully decorated, and totally Insta-worthy. (Definitely going back for those!)

So I have - like any sane, non allergic person - love for pastries and almond croissant in particular, so this review is based on my first time there, trying that and a brownie.
Lovely looking place and lovely staff.
The pastry was incredibly soft and flakey and really great. It wasn't the best I've ever had, though I highly recommend it.
The brownie wasn't as exciting and fell short for me, tasting a bit bland abs the texture wasn't great.
Overall, I recommend checking them out, they have more to offer than these two items and the pastries are great. I got the last almond one.

Each one is about $4-5 but you get a slight discount if you get half a dozen.
Other bakery items and coffee as well. Enough space to seat a few people too.

I reached out to Velvet Lane for a baby shower cake based on an image of classic Pooh characters! They did such an amazing job and recreating it and the cake tasted amazing. All guests were super impressed with the cake and the details and it was amazing that the characters were hand painted and the trees were piped! The team was super communicative, answered all my questions and were incredibly collaborative and open. 100 percent would get cakes from here again!

This is a cute cafe specializing in cakes and cupcakes. The staff was friendly and I was served promptly. The cafe was very cute and would be great to hang out with a friend. I bought the Pistachio cupcake. The taste was good and flavourful, however I prefer slightly less icing on my cupcakes. Overall, this appears to be pretty affordable for a cake shops and I would be open to trying their mid size cakes in the future.
