I reached out to Velvet Lane for a baby shower cake based on an image of classic Pooh characters! They did such an amazing job and recreating it and the cake tasted amazing. All guests were super impressed with the cake and the details and it was amazing that the characters were hand painted and the trees were piped! The team was super communicative, answered all my questions and were incredibly collaborative and open. 100 percent would get cakes from here again!

This is a cute cafe specializing in cakes and cupcakes. The staff was friendly and I was served promptly. The cafe was very cute and would be great to hang out with a friend. I bought the Pistachio cupcake. The taste was good and flavourful, however I prefer slightly less icing on my cupcakes. Overall, this appears to be pretty affordable for a cake shops and I would be open to trying their mid size cakes in the future.

I recently bought 2 cakes - equally bad. TOO MUCH frosting, literally had to scrape it off. The sponge, although moist, tasteless!
The red velvet had way too much frosting which made it look AHMAZING but tasted pretty bad!
In response to below reply from owner: I tried 2 cakes..one with the extra icing (red velvet) and the other was hazelnut cake. I would say hazelnut was probably worse..no flavor in sponge or icing and too much icing although very Instagrammable and moist sponge but horrible excessive icing and tales overall. It was like you get an amazing looking cake but the moment you eat it, you are embarrassed you brought such a cheap tasting cake to a party ??♀️

My daughter ordered a cake sept 19 th told to pick up on her birthday 22nd went there and no cake we emailed them how upset my special needs daughter was and embarrassed at her party no cake she got so upset she tried to hurt herself i sent them pics of her in the hospital and they did not respond I continue to contact them and was ignored they ruined my daughter birthday they told us to return the cale the delivered a day late told them my daughter was so upset and embarrassed and her reputation was ruined she threw it out and again shes special needs they still have done nothing and no response to email never again will we order the person emailing was rude also we asked for a refund at the day of pick up and told no we asked for a discount and were told cupcakes free at a value of $45 how is that to replace the shame my daughter felt on her birthday they have done nothing
Absolutely love the cake and the service provided by velvet lane cakes. I ordered a custom cake with Cats theme for a kid's birthday party and it was such a hit in my party. I have always gone back to the same store every single time I need a cake.

I’ve ordered two cakes from here. First one was fantastic, no issues. Second one I came in to order a cake for my best friends 30th birthday. The day of pick up the cake wasn’t ready. They forgot to input it into their system and never made it despite emailing back and forth on it and having paid in full. They did provide another cake (not a flavour she is a fan of) and eventually refunded me, but I’d be wary of this.
