If you like garbage food (like literally mouldy) and microwaved pasta then this is the place for you! Ask them about their frozen everything! Do you like your food from a can? Look no further than here! They strive to make sure you’re not going to come back. A abnormally large percentage of 5 star reviews are from friends, family, and staff. Also, the owner asked me to marry his cousin from Iran in trades for a car.. so. Enjoy your meal.

Great food and super friendly service. The Fettucine Verdi, and chicken Parmesan was delicious.

Although the customer service was very good, the food was horrible. Pizza was undercooked, looked and tasted like it was out of a frozen box from the grocery store, and the “lobster” omelette had non-existent lobster crumbs. Fried calamari had too much batter. Would not recommend.

I tried the mushroom/truffle linguini, penne a la vodka, and caesar salad with homemade dressing. I couldn't taste a hint of olive oil let alone truffle oil. The penne a la vodka (I thought it came with salmon but I got bacon) sauce was also just so-so and the bacon was not so fresh-tasting. My Dad makes better home-made caesar dressing and he only knows how to cook two things.

This place is a scam. We were impressed by reviews and we decided to have lunch there. After getting inside we realized they changed ownership and name into "buono ristorant" (italian name with a typo) and the place was completely empty. We should have gone away, but we decided to give it a try. Food was really terrible, awful ingredients quality and they had no idea how to cook italian food. Calabrese pizza was supposed to have sausage and roasted peppers, but I found a kind of disgusting salami and diced fresh pepper (like the one you put in the tacos). Margherita pizza was the same cheese pizza you can find at domino and the gnocchi were terribly cooked. They are basically using the name of a famous italian restaurant that had great reviews but nothing is italian there.

We came in during a snow storm and were literally the only people in the restaurant. We offered to leave so they could close up but they insisted on serving us. Great food and wonderful staff. Very warm and cozy atmosphere.

Be ready for a change in ownership, name, menu, pricing. Prices for dining out ridiculous, especially on Feb. 14 with min. $55/person. Food was okay. I felt like I was paying for the renovations with the bill.

We had the penne gorgonzola and the lobster ravioli plus a pizza. All excellent. Taste 5/5 only that the pasta portions are a bit small only half a meal, but the pizza filled us up. I will definitely be back again!

We walked in and were seated right away. We could overhear someone complaining about their bill, saying they were overcharged and would pay but would never return. We placed our order and the food came out within 5 min, which seemed a little suspicious in itself but we began eating. Almost immediately my daughter found a piece of metal in her chicken Parmesan. I called over the waiter who was attending to another table, also complaining because there were bugs on the table. To make matters worse, the waiter came back from the kitchen and said it was probably a piece of metal from the scrubbing pads in the sink. This place needs to be reported to the health authorities!!!

Positively the best restaurant on Bayview, in Leaside. Verdi offers great friendly service and the most delicious Italian inspired meals in a casual, inconspicuous, little spot in mid town Toronto. We've been several times this summer, and it never fails!! Last night we shared the antipasto which was delicious! The Lamb and Veal (with a glass or two of the red house wine) were both out of this world and a little tartufo to end the meal was just perfect. (See photos!) Joanna

The food was very basic. Lower your expectations if you are ordering from here. Nothing was as advertised. Arugula salad didn’t have any goat cheese or ARUGULA in it. Calamari was undercooked and the breading crumbled when picked up. We have had better frozen pizza. Not trying to be mean just honest for the next person. We will not return.

Verdi provides an absolutely outstanding restaurant experience! One of the best Italian resturant in Toronto. From the food to the ambiance , from when you first walk in to when you leave, the service and atmosphere is nothing short of bliss.
