There is no better spot for late night/early morning food. I would go weekly when I lived in the area. Chicken poutine is amazing!

Come once after midnight for the atmosphere and the old school vibes. If you’re drunk the food taste won’t ruin the experience as much, but man… it’s just not good. That said it’s been here forever and is an institution so it’s worth coming to at least once

The potatoes were raw and I paid 22 dollars for the saddest plate of raw potatoes and eggs and very sad coffee.

The sign that said “no photos” made lots of sense once the food was in front of me.

Cook did not wash his hands after putting raw chicken skewers on the grill, after talking on his cell phone and used the same dish towel to wipe his hands and the counters.

A deep clean of this place would be a great start.

The chicken souvlaki wrap would have been a good size on the kids menu.

The food was very good. My milkshake was delicious but disappointing. It was quite small and not very thick for a milkshake. I would still go back.

A classic lunch counter eatery. Everything about the place screams old school.

This is such a cute historical diner and the woman working there is so kind. She attends to your every need and is quite a calming presence. Highly recommend for a date or lunch with friends. The burger was yummy and the atmosphere was so retro.

Wow, the prices are out of control here. It’s a Toronto-wide thing, sure, but it’s really amped up here. 2 plates of breakfast (bacon and eggs, and sausage and eggs), no coffee, came to just over $40 with tip.

What really brought the vibe down was the occasional waft of poop breezing in from the west door which peaked just as we were leaving. It really left a bad taste after a decent (albeit overpriced) meal.
