I used to live around the corner from here about 8 years ago and while the quality wasn't amazing it was the standard and price you'd want from an old diner. Then I grabbed a burger meal from here last weekend and it was NASTY, we paid like $16 before tip for a slimy burger with a bit of fries and a teaspoon of limp coleslaw. I don't get why all the local food guides gave this place 5*, maybe because they're used to corporate fast food restaurants and even more overpriced places on King St? At least the decor isn't bland I guess. Anyway I miss proper greasy spoons/diners in this city, you're not going to find them anywhere except the east end now.

The atmosphere and service was amazing, and I wish I could give a higher review. But truthfully, the burger I got was really not the great. The patty just didn’t taste like it was cooked properly. Aside from that, the fries and coleslaw were not bad.

I wanted so much to love this place because the vibes and atmosphere seem really cool. But the burger was a sad evidently cheap frozen patty, and the prices for everything were way way too high. $9 for a side of fries??

This place is exactly what you get - a classic, greasy spoon joint - the food is greasy diner food, the service is lax, and the ambience is disheveled - 5 stars across the board, I love it.
I live abroad now and the fact is you simply cannot find places like this in Europe, and it delivered a great, affordable meal.
I'm only putting one star and I will change it when you put tipping back onto your debit terminals... There is no way you pay somebody enough money per hour to work 24 hours and not get tipped. Put the tip function back on the terminal or I will get everybody to give you a one star. This is ridiculous. 24 hours open. These kids are busting their hump, cooking, serving and you don't want them to get tipped. Are you crazy?

The one and only good thing about this place is the workers. Everyone was very friendly. But please for the love of God don’t eat here. I literally spat the food out. Way too costly for the quality of food. Even my dog would spit it out. The kitchen looked dirty and unkept. When I placed my order, what the cook pulled out from the freezer looked and tasted like it had been there for years. Just don’t waste your money.
