Food tastes good, and the place is clean, but the portions are small, and the service was extremely disappointing.
I visited with a group, and while everyone else received their drinks, my hot water was completely forgotten. At first, I thought it just needed time to boil, but even after the first round of appetizers—and while my colleagues were already on their second drinks—I still hadn’t received it. I politely reminded the server, an older lady, but she ignored me. Meanwhile, other tables that arrived after us had their water served promptly.
By the time we ordered our third round, I asked again, very politely, “Can I have my hot water, please?” Her response? “You have to wait. I’m busy.” No apology, no acknowledgment—just dismissiveness. I wouldn’t have minded if she had simply admitted she forgot, but instead, she was rude and unprofessional. It made me wonder—was it just bad service, or something more? Either way, it was very disappointing.
Also, the portion sizes were shocking. We ordered 3 lbs of wings ($42) and only received 21 small pieces. For reference, even ChatGPT says you should get around 30-36 small wings or at least 18-24 large ones—and these were definitely not large.
Wouldn’t recommend it, especially given the poor service and lack of value for money.

I've heard a lot about this classic toronto pub. Today I finally got to go. Very cool place. Great vibe with the candles and low lights. Good music on the radio, it's not that loud so you can actually hear what your friends are saying. I had the poutine it was okay. Lots of cheese. For the price I almost expected a bigger portion. Overall I think this is a cool pub to go, great selection of beers and the server was nice. I'll definitely go the The Idiot again
