Vivo Bloor served an unforgettable Italian dining experience, where every dish celebrated flavor, freshness, and artistry. From the first bite to the last, the menu impressed with a perfect balance of comfort and sophistication.
The Insalata di Radicchio was crisp and bright, awakening the palate, while the Polpette di Melanzane delivered tender, savory satisfaction. Meanwhile, the Il Figo Pizza combined a perfectly crisp crust with fresh, vibrant toppings that made each slice irresistible. The seafood lover in me was treated to the Linguine alle Vongole and Merluzzo, both bursting with rich, delicate flavors, while the Bistecca melted in the mouth with its juicy, flavorful perfection. The meal concluded beautifully with the Zuppa Inglese, a sweet, indulgent finish that lingered long after the last bite.
What made Vivo Bloor truly special was how each dish spoke for itself: fresh, bold, and thoughtfully composed. The combination of refined technique and approachable flavors made every bite a joy, proving that Italian cuisine can be both elevated and inviting. And a major shoutout to Natalie, our server, for bringing us the best possible dining experience!
Vivo Bloor wasn’t just a meal — it was a journey through Italy’s finest flavors, served with style in the heart of Toronto. Warmly recommended!

From their homemade pasta, gorgeous atmosphere, delicious cocktails and amazing and welcoming staff, this restaurant is a 10/10 dining experience. The quality, the passion and love put into every meal on their menu, the uniqueness, quantity you get for such an amazing price and taste of their food is unmatched. Went with a friend over the past weekend (and we’ve previously frequented this restaurant). We will never return. There are PLENTY of quality Italian restaurants that aren’t this one to visit.
TLDR; Served her 2 year old son an egg-pasta dish, despite being informed at various points of his severe egg allergy. Management took no accountability and claimed “well it’s gluten-free.”
Guys… gluten-free is not egg-free. I don’t know how that’s not common knowledge when you work at a restaurant. And to then blame other factors instead of taking any accountability? Bill was not comp’d and no apology provided.
Allergies are serious concerns that should be taken as such! Beware vegetarians + vegans as well? They’re clearly unaware gluten-free doesn’t mean vegan, and vice versa 😭
Shameful way to conduct business.

Be extremely cautious if you have a life-threatening food allergy!
I’ve been a customer of Vivo Avanti (formerly Vivo Pizza) for years, so writing this review is difficult. On September 24, 2025, I visited the restaurant with my family for lunch. I informed our waitress that my 2-year-old son has a severe egg allergy and asked if there was an egg-free pasta option for him. She checked with the chef and assured us they could prepare penne with tomato sauce that was safe. I also double-checked with the waitress before giving my son a bite of my pizza; she again confirmed with the chef that it contained no eggs.
Despite these assurances, my son suffered a severe allergic reaction about 15 minutes after eating. We had to rush to the washroom and administer his EpiPen while trying to keep him calm and away from other guests. It was a terrifying situation no parent should have to go through, especially after receiving clear confirmation about allergens.
When I raised this with the manager, instead of showing concern or accountability, he dismissed it by saying my son had been served GLUTEN-FREE pasta and therefore it had no eggs. This is factually incorrect as not all gluten-free pasta is egg-free! He also suggested the reaction was caused by other dishes on the table, despite the fact that my son only ate the pasta and pizza the restaurant had guaranteed were safe. His lack of empathy and professionalism during such a critical moment was shocking and deeply disappointing…
Food allergies are not something to take lightly. A mistake in this area can be life-threatening, as it was for us that day. Thankfully, once the EpiPen took effect, my little one began to recover, but after this experience and the way we were treated by the manager, my family and I will not be returning to this place ever again. I strongly urge anyone with serious allergies to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when eating there!

Great spot, chic, classy, sexy, nice & chill vibe, I recommend
Food here was amazing a few years ago but they've changed chefs and management several times over the past 5 years and the food is generic now. Their calamari used to come with extra large tiger shrimps which were grilled as well as deep fried. The aoli used to taste homemade and even the lemon was grilled. Now the calamari looks like something you get from a general sports bar and the 'aoli' is just mayo. Also to add anchovies, its $3.50 for 5 anchovies. A margarita pizza with added anchovies is $28. They make their money from being right across from the park but they are only there now to make money, not to serve good Italian food.
