If you're looking for unique and top quality food, awesome service and a pleasing atmosphere, Vivo across from High Park is it! I've organized group lunches for 12 and dined here with individual friends and always come away satisfied. What an amazing addition to the High Park area. I've sampled salads, antipastos and several pizzas and loved them all. The tiramisu is the BEST I've ever had. Prices are reasonable too as most dishes are shareable.

Honestly this is the worst restaurant company in the whole city, some friends chose to eat here because it was convenient.

Judging by the menu, they’re tried to make some adjustments and improve the food but all they’ve done is go from one poorly executed menu to another.

I wish he had just gone to a Pizza Hut or a pizza pizza, because I ordered a pizza and it was straight hot trash, I ate one slice and was done. Burnt bottom and poorly cooked top

Save your time, money and calories!

Good service, pizza was a little too soggy and oily

Delicious food, that is of high quality, and friendly kind service. Haley (hoping I spelt it right!) was so sweet and she took her time explaining the menu for us and recommending the best salad I ever had!

For sure it's one of the best Italian restaurants in the area...

Why is this place still in business? We came as a family of 9 to celebrate a birthday at 5:30 on a Friday night. We sat outside near the condo entrance. The servers are all polite and present themselves well, but that’s about it. They are disorganized, forgetful and slow. If there was one server assigned to our table we wouldn’t know it because within the 2 hours we spent there at least 4 came by our table to try to rectify each other’s mistakes. No one asked if we needed more water halfway through the meal. No one bothered to collect the menus after we ordered.

We got some appetizers and then waited 30-40 minutes for our pizzas. When we reminded someone to bring them it seems they were never punched in. The excuse was their system has been down that day. But the waiter had taken the order on a notepad, so the logical thing to do would have been to go to the kitchen and make sure it was received. One of the mains orders, he neglected to write down so when everyone’s pizza arrived he went to place the additional order. 15 minutes later one of us went inside to check on it and again it had not been sent to the kitchen.

The lack of attention and expediency was blamed on an engagement party happening indoors. If you don’t have capacity for more clients, do not take reservations! I went in to us the bathroom and from what I could see the party had pre-made platters of food and no one was attending to them, so it was an empty excuse.

They offered us dessert on the house for inconvenience which we did not want because we had cake we were planning to eat it on the condo rooftop after dinner. They comped the appetizer for the inconvenience and the pizza that never arrived in the first place… we had to ask to remove a salad that was sent back on account of rotten lettuce.

Again, the waiters were polite and apologetic but there was no excuse for the lack of efficiency and service. Having worked in the service industry for more than a decade many years ago, this kind of thing would run your business into the ground.

Will never recommend this place, and in fact warn people against going there.

Worst service at Vivo
If you're thinking about eating at Vivo, don’t. We went in as a mixed family of four on Father’s Day, expecting a good meal and decent service. Instead, we got a masterclass in how not to run a restaurant.
Service? Glacial. Two of our meals came out first, and the other two didn’t show up for another 30 minutes. By the time they arrived, the first two people were done eating. That’s not just bad timing—that’s disrespectful.
Asked for Parmesan cheese and waited 10 full minutes before we finally had to go get it ourselves. The server nevercame back to check on us—not once. And this wasn’t during a rush. The place was half empty. No excuses.
The cherry on top? We had to literally hunt down the hostess just to pay the bill. The server didn’t bring it, didn’t ask how we were doing until the very end, and when we said “not well,” she just walked away. No follow-up. No apology. Just silence.
And for some reason, on Father’s Day, with one father and three family members clearly sitting together, the server asked if we wanted separate checks. Seriously? Tone-deaf.
This wasn’t just slow service. It was a complete lack of care, attention, and respect. I don’t leave bad reviews lightly, but Vivo earned every bit of this one. Would never go back.

We had our office Christmas luncheon at Vivo Restaurant on Bloor Street today, and wow - I was truly impressed! This was my first time at Vivo, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The food was fantastic, and as someone who eats only plant-based meals, I was thrilled by how accommodating they were. They went out of their way to prepare a delicious meal for me.

The atmosphere was wonderful, but what stood out the most was the staff. Despite hosting such a large group, they were incredibly well-organized, attentive, and never seemed rushed. Their genuine care and effort to make our luncheon special did not go unnoticed.

Kudos to management for hiring and training such an exceptional team of servers. I look forward to returning in the new year!

Came in from out of town to try the new menu.
Food was well prepared, visually appealing and very tasty. We started with the insalata di radicchio, calamari fritti and prosciutto croquettes.
Our second was the Marguerite pizza followed by the spagettoni with zucchini and rigatoni. The service was excellent and the background music set a wonderful ambiance.

Ive been to a few different Vivo locations and they’ve all been great. This one though might be the best! Modern and clean interior, great service, and really good food at a great price. I got the croquettes and rigatoni, would 100% recommend.

We love this place! We come here because we can get a delicious antipasto, plate of pasta or pizza, Italian style-without having to go all the way downtown! Manuel provides outstanding recommendations and service. He is parallel to none and truly what every Italian restaurant needs. We love the changes on the menu and will be back soon to try the rest of the new delicious items! Everyone wanting a decent Italian meal with a great ambiance + great service, needs to come here. 5 stars from us.
