Bought this last night March 21st 2022 from Vaughn doughnuts...my child ate one bite , good thing I turned it over by accident...are u kidding me!!!!
Don't be like me and listen to the reviews! These donut are VERY underwhelming and taste the same.We stopped by around 2:00PM today (Saturday) and were a little surprised to see a completely empty store with their display somewhat full because of all the hype. We weren't greeted until about a full 2-3 minutes later (the guy was in the back room), and also got quite an unwelcoming vibe-- not something you'd expect from a place that's charging you $4/ donut. (Read the reviews on this too, seems like more than just a one-off).BELIEVE ME when I tell you you're better off just grabbing a donut from Tims. The donuts only LOOK like they're going to taste incredible, they're actually quite flavourless. We tried their Homer Simpson (2), Creme Brulee, Nutella, Cookie Dough and Boston Cream donuts today. All you really taste is the chocolate and a little bit of the dough (not very dense) on each donut.?? The Creme Brulee and Boston Cream "filling" tasted nearly identical.?? The Boston Cream filling does not taste like Boston Cream AT ALL.. How do you screw up a Boston Cream ????The Cookie Dough has absolutely nothing Cookie Dough about it. I mean.. What does smarties have to do with it?Pretty donuts for the gram, but nearly tasteless, over-hyped and unwelcoming. Sorry but we won't return ☹️
Von is gone. Went there today to buy some doughnuts only to learn that the shop has closed. A man who came out told me it's under new management and will reopen October 1 (2021). Unclear whether it will be a doughnut shop or some other type of pastry. He mentioned pastry, but I neglected to ask for further details. Too bad the website still says they're open!Disregard my stars. It means nothing, but google wouldn't let me post without giving a star-review. To me, 3 is neutral.
Garbage. Dry and tasteless. The guy behind the counter is also rude and seems racist. Served white customer with the most friendly attitude and next served me, visibly ethnic, rude as could be. I should have walked out but wanted to support a local business. Next time, I am going to Tims!!! Only thing this place is good for would be a Instagram picture , then toss the donoughts and go anywhere else, just not here. Do not follow the hype.
Donut I bought had a CHUNK OF METAL inside it!!!
Pretty good. Nice options.
Mostly hype. The flavours are more interesting than Tim's but the donuts are not that well made.
Having a random craving for a sweet treat while walking down the Danforth, my partner and I decided to step in to Von Doughnuts. Upon entering the store, we noticed that it was very dimly lit inside. We decided on getting a donut each, and they were $4 each and came in a plastic clamshell packaging and a plastic bag. The man working at the store served us promptly, efficiently, and in a friendly manner.Unfortunately, as pretty as the donuts are, we found the glaze on top to be lackluster, as there could have been more on top. The donut part itself is very yeasty, almost more bread-like than donut-like. at $4 apiece, we were highly disappointed, and while we were happy to support a small local business, we hope to see more environmentally friendly packaging in the future from Von Doughnuts.
With so many gourmet donut options, I found this to be cheap and cheerful however limited in flavours available when compared to Bloomers or Glory Hole
I had never been before and I must say,, oh YESSS, I'll be back many many time's absolutely phenomenal experience

Always a good stop with friendly staff. Light and fluffy and ever changing flavours. A great neighbourhood shop that's a step up from the large chains.
Never had a doughnut that I’ve disliked from here. Hands down one of my favourite places.
This was a random find but I'm very glad I stumbled into Von's. So many unique flavours to choose from. I had to try the Homer of course ! Definitely a great place for a quick snack
Good location next to Tokyo smokes. Fast service and light fluffy donuts with a good variety of flavours.
The doughnuts were quite good but I definitely won’t be back. The man working behind the counter was super rude...and I was the only person in the store so it wasn’t a matter of him being busy. I got a really bad vibe from this dude. I’m all for supporting local small businesses but if you’re rude and snippy to your customers...there’s a problem. Time to adopt some better customer service.
