We stumbled upon their poster while in the area & had to drop by for a quick lunch the next day. They offer morning special combos for only $7.25 but we unfortunately missed the 11:30 AM deal. Nonetheless, we got a fish congee and sang jian bao to share which were both delicious! I think this spot was quite authentic as the congee was well made with generous protein & boneless fish meat. We tried(西关食堂) and overall had a very good experience. The restaurant offers an interesting mix of Cantonese dishes and Northern-style noodles, which makes the menu quite unique.

The highlight for us was the handmade noodles — flavorful, chewy, and served in generous portions. The small cold dishes, like shredded potato and fuqi feipian (夫妻肺片), were also well done and very tasty.

The beef offal soup (牛三寶) is amazing—rich and flavorful. And Xi Guan style street noodles (西關瀨粉) is a must-try, bursting with authentic taste.

Portions are generous and the prices are reasonable for what you get. The staff are pretty friendly too. Worth a visit!
