I’ve been coming to the wide open for 8 years. Has always been my favourite bar in the city, I recommend it to any visitors I’ve ever had. But prices have gone out of control, $28 for a pitcher of light beer?! One of the most expensive pubs downtown at that price.

We love this very tiny bar. It actually used to be a lane way, way back when. I'm glad they built it into a bar. Great tunes. Bar seating, a couple of booths, and a couple of high-top tables. In the summer, they have the front area open with additional seating. Nothing fancy but a groovy little place to meet up with friends in a relaxed environment. No food available, just a place to get drunk! Lol.

Just left there on Saturday, October 12, 2024 - I must say one the most unfriendly bar staff I have ever met in my life. Particular the blonde tallish Ukrainian Russian lady. I never never ever play the race card, but hey if the shoe fits...if you're of the Asian persuasion and don't have at least 6 Tattoos and a beard, drinker beware. I thought Toronto was done with prejudice and racism, no?

Went to have a few drinks cause the place seemed chill.
Ordered 2 LIITs
She gave me Margarita mix and coke
Not even an oz of alcohol in there.
Charged me 20 dollars a drink.
I left straight up.
Saw them short pouring other drinks as well so did not feel like taking a chance.
