Very odd setup but quite nice rooms. Starting to show its age and there are some cleaning issues (laundry particularly wasn't great).
Just so everyone knows, this hotel had a water pipe burst and is telling guests that a 'scheduled renovation' is going on. There's only 1 elevator working for the entire hotel and it's apparently going to last for at least a month, made my stay pretty annoying having to wait forever to go up and down.
Aside from that the stay was ok, staff are friendly, hotel is located on a street partially closed by construction, no restaurant. Carpet seems to have been stripped from some floors because of the water pipe that burst.
Really though the only one elevator operating thing is quite annoying, and I guess out of their control but incoming guests should be aware of this.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!! If I could give minus 10 I would. You'll see many negative reviews about the cleanliness and staff, believe me they are ALL true. They hotel STOLEN my room deposit, and told me it was refunded, refusing to look into this. I shared bank statements, proof of funds leaving my account but there was excuse after excuse. I have been back and fourth with the hotel for the last month being passed from person to person with no help. They've continually LIED to me about speaking with their 'accounts team' but its just delay tactics, and I still have no refund. I've now been completely dismissed and still do not have my money. They are THEIVES and are not interested in helping. I booked 2 room for my parent's and I, the rooms were dirty, the beds weren't clean, the windows and units had finger prints and marks all over them. The staff are completely and utterly useless. I would spend a little more and AVOID AVOID AVOID at all costs!! I never ever leave reviews but this situation was an absolute joke. You many be looking at this hotel as a good money saving option, but please do not be fooled. I just want to warn people what they're signing up to.
It's a little on the older side, so the rooms aren't in the best condition, but they are fully equipped.
For the price and location, having a bachelor style apartment is awesome. It was a short work trip, but if you were there a little longer, the ability to wash and dry your clothes in suite is awesome. A kitchen with range, dishwasher and microwave is useful and cooking utensils are available by request.
At the time of writing, there is no restaurant or bar as mentioned by the hotel, but they are renovating and putting their own in to replace the vacancy left by the previous restaurant.
Friendly and accommodating staff at all hours through the day.
Disappointed hotel in downtown Toronto
the name implied executive room, while I got a tiny tiny room.
although I stayed for 7 days and asked for larger room to enable leisure and quality working environment, I was refused time after time in different excuses.
the rom is small and does not enable anywhere to sit. In addition, no proper working conditions, something you would expect in downtown Toronto.
on top of that we had fire-alarm due to issue in the sprinklers, which forced me to go up and down 25 floors by foot, with no .support and no compensation from the hotel
bottom line - do NOT stay there
Absolutely not a 4-star hotel. I stayed for 3 nights in suite for a conference and was shocked at how dirty and worn everything was. The windows were filthy, and the couch and bed were super saggy and worn out. I ended up sleeping on the floor from the second night cause the bed was so bad. The room was very spacious though and conveniently located.
While this is a great and convenient location, my room was quite dirty feeling. The shower was musty and had mold/dirt spots in it and the hand towels had stains. The room also seemingly needed a vacuum run though it. It was fine for one night while in town but definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel
Friendly, courteous staff. Clean. Good location.
This was nice hotel. I was in town for the world series and all the hotels were marked way up for the weekend. This hotel seemed like the only one not marked up. I got the family room for reasonable price. It was a good size and its in a good location downtown, walking distance to everything.
Great location, friendly staff and amazing valet service. The room was clean and had everything we needed, provided drinking glasses and dinnerware also, that came in handy for a bottle of wine we brought in. Nice views and walking distance to so many things in the city. Will book for my next trip to Toronto!

Unfortunately we had a very disappointing experience during our 4 night stay.
The Executive View Suite we booked for 500CAD/night had a beautiful view, but the bedsheets and towels had stains, the bathroom sink was clogged, all the handles in the bathroom (shower, toilet, sink) were very flimsy, and the shower had spots of mold. The staff was friendly when we brought this to their attention and moved us to another room at a 10% discount. This second room seemed cleaner, however the bed was uncomfortable, and we did find a hair in a bowl in the kitchen cupboard. In both rooms, the doors were squeaky and only closing by pulling/pushing very hard. Sound isolation was also quite poor, both inside the building with noise from other rooms, and the city noise through the windows. Neither of the rooms had black-out curtains which meant close to daylight brightness in the bedroom after the sun comes up.
The TVs in the rooms are supposed to have chromecast so you can cast streaming services on the TV, which is a nice feature, but it unfortunately did not work. This wasn't a big deal, but the way it was handled by the staff was not very professional or honest - there is an HDMI device that needs to be plugged into the TV for chromecasting, and our room didn't have one in the living room. We mentioned this to guest service as soon as we noticed, and after 2 days of us asking about it and staff claiming somebody would install one in the living room asap, they just moved the device from the bedroom to the living room, which we could have done ourselves immediately when noticing (we didn't because of an anti-temper device).
Overall, the hotel is nice on the surface and in a good location, but even the discounted 460CAD/night were honestly excessive and not warranted at all for the lacking quality and uncleanliness we experienced.
Bad service. I booked online on booking in advance and paid 500 $ for a night. When I arrived they said my reservation was cancelled. I had to fight with the employee and show him I paid on my credit card before he takes me seriously and tells me my check in was online. I almost got turned back without any initiative to help me from the staff.
We stayed here for the Bryan Adams concert and had such a lovely experience!! The room was beautiful, cozy and comfortable!! What truly stood out was the staff! Always so kind, friendly and welcoming every time we came in and out. It made our stay extra special 💛 I'd absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting! ✨️
Not 'executive' enough. Small and shabby lobby.
Elevators stuck away in a cramped hallway.
Three hours extra for a late check-out for 75 dollars (plus taxes) is not what I consider hospitable.
The restaurant is closed (not mentioned at the website).
The junior suite is spacious, but the decor somewhat outdated and shabby.
The Keurig coffee is way under par! Weak, watery and disgusting.
The cuttlery a mess (different styles), and the small dishwasher doesn't work.
The bedroom is tiny, as is the bathroom.
The livingroom is okay, but the couch small and rather uncomfortable.
Terrible views and extremely close to neighbouring buildings.
A plus is the huge tv in the living (plus a small one in the bedroom), which you (both!) can use to stream from your smartphone.
The airco has one switch: on/off.
On means a lot of noise and wind, but no change controlling cold, nor warm.
The windows and balcony are in the poorest condition: filthy and windy.
The photos on the website portray a different style, a different class.
Another plus is the fitnessroom. Not large, but ok for cardio, not to train power nor strength. In conclusion, I am disappointed.
I only stayed because it was located in downtown Toronto.
But 2765 Canadian dollars for 7 nights is way too much.
Executive Hotel Cosmopolitan Toronto does NOT deserve 4 stars in my honest and humble opinion.
Have I discussed any of the above with the staff? No, they were not interested. They never asked, never showed any interest in me as a guest. Checking in and out went rather robotically. As if no one cared. The hotel shows that!
I wished I had a better experience. The website promises a better, stylish and more executive experience.
Great location for easy access to a lot of the concert venues, trains, restaurants, St Lawrence market and water front area. Kitchens are well equipped with basic dishes, glasses, cups and cutlery, but you need to request anything more than that from the front desk. Mattress was a bit lumpy/ soft-needs replacing in my opinion but my partner thought it was ok. They have bikes available for no extra charge that you can pre-book. Room was clean.
