I have always loved wildfire but yesterday service and food was horrible. I have been a customer for many years and this was the first time that me and my group were unsatisfied with the level of service and food quality.

Went to Wildfire because it was part of the offerings for the City of Toronto's Summerlicious event. I had never heard of it before. The description of the fixed menu looked great and the pics online looked nice. Unfortunately they had most of the restaurant closed off for a private event and we had to sit at the small bar area. The staff was for sure preoccupied with the party. Our waitress was very friendly but the wait times were crazy. It was almost an hour between our appetizer and our steaks came out. The food was very subpar for this price point. The charred Caeser salad was interesting but kind of basic. The 'elevated' mac and cheese was just like kid's mac and cheese. I had the ribeye which was big and tender but the sauce was a tiny portion in the middle of the steak and there was so much pepper on it it was hilarious. The side veggies were a joke, not even recognizable. The mashed potatoes were okay. My partner's striploin was not good. Tasted like a grocery store, boring steak. The highlight was the desert, cheesecakes. But by that point, two hours in, we were ready to leave. The washrooms were far away in the hotel. Another bad feature. Would never go back. Disappointed. total bill was $180. Not worth it.

It was difficult to eat the Caesar salad. Whole(!!) grilled (!!) Romaine lettuce leaves are difficult to cut. And in general, cut salad with a knife? The steak was excellent, but other than the fries (and ketchup) there were no vegetables. The cheesecake was delicious. Perfect service.

Was visiting Toronto and I saw this restaurant come up on Tik Tok. The drinks were amazing so was the decors and ambience! The food was excellent! Great value and portion size for your money. The service could have been a little better. However no major complaints! Would like to come back on my next visit to Toronto.

The overall experience was very disappointing We booked a birthday dinner and looked forward to a good meal and we're looking forward to the Grilled Caesar salad only to be told they had run out at 8 pm on a Saturday night. Then waiting another half hour it was replaced by a mediocre bitter beet and goat cheese salad. Then waited an additional hour for our main course of a dried up burger without fries because again they had now also run out of fries. We were then given one very small cheesecake to share. Not the dinning experience we expected it has a 4.5 rating on OpenTable. Definitely would not recommend as the food was tasteless and overcooked. Service was good but atmosphere was noisy and lacked ambiance.

I was disappointed with my experience at this location. I came here earlier this year for a celebration with my boyfriend and recommended it to my sister for her birthday. We booked a reservation on opentable but upon arrival they said they did not have any tables available in the dinner area at the back and we had to sit at one of the bar tables. My sister got a cocktail with a cute flower in it. After finishing her drink she found the flower was rotting from the bottom with it floating around in the cup, she started feeling sick as she was already done the drink and it was hard to see it earlier because of the lighting. Upon telling them they apologized and took the drink off our bill. We also had to wait over an hour after ordering our food. My sister ended up ordering a replacement drink that our server forgot about and we had to ask him again. At the end I think the felt bad so they gave us a complimentary dessert. I did not tell them it was my sisters birthday so I did not expect them to do that so it was nice of them. Im not sure the reason the service was disappointing the second time around was because we were three girls as opposed to a couple like when I went with my boyfriend. Overall, I love the aesthetic of the place and I hope we got unlucky with the service the second time as I would love to come here again.

Had a good experience at Wildfire. Service was great, food was ok, pretty standard. Food took awhile to come out considering how small and intimate the dining room was. Food was only warm. Great value though.

Service is excellent. I've dined here two different times, months apart and the service is always good. The food however is hit or miss. Both times I've been here it wasn't busy yet I received the wrong item. During this dining experience, I ordered a steak medium rare and received it medium well. The staff was apologetic and fixed it but the extra wait time was a bit troublesome. Would give this place one more chance since the atmosphere is so nice

Wildfire is a great hotel restaurant! Bathroom was on the second floor but it wasn't a trek all. We didn't get appetizers (wine) and they had a great selection. Delicious options of Italian wines! I got the mushroom ravioli and they were small almost bigger than the size of a quarter. The portion was amazing and the sauce was to die for. My boyfriend has the burger and he said it was too scrumptious to share. LOL. I stole some anyways and it was simple and delicious and the truffle oil fries were OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!! Wish we got a larger portion because I would've ate those all night! We shared the carrot cake which had an interesting twist with pineapple and creme brûlée which wasn't too flavorful but still good. Our server was so fun and talkative. He made great suggestions and very well knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. Surprised my group with shots and we were blown away with how good they were! Would definitely come back next time we are in town!!

The server and hostess were both very helpful and nice. I appreciated the server giving us updates on our food as it did take a bit of time. They were super busy and it was a long weekend so that could be why. The food was okay and the espresso martini was delicious. The washrooms are on the 2nd floor so you have to take an elevator. The atmosphere was clean and nice. Good spot for a date night.

We were very disappointed. We expected a steakhouse similar to the original restaurant in North York. Instead of getting a steakhouse we got a cheap hotel bar with the same menu but significantly inferior quality of food. Service was very good, waiter was very attentive.

Small and intimate environment. Food was high quality Rib eye main and spinach dip appy both were good choices. Only downside is washrooms were located a floor above restaurant. Don't wait for the elevator, take the stairs if you are able?

I Was looking forward to eating at wildfire - the place has good reviews and a good menu setup. However, was served one raw steak and one overcooked steak, and when reserved, both steaks came back raw. Not to mention our mains showed up at the same time as our appetizer, which also took approximately 45 mins even though the restaurant was practically empty. I'm hoping this was just a one off experience and maybe just a bad day for the restaurant. Hopefully other dinners have a better experience here but mine was extremely disappointing to say the least. I would be cautious before dinning here.....

I wanted to say I huge thank you to Greg!! For making it an our first experience at Wildfire so much fun and I would love him to serve our group again. He was compassionate, understanding and patient with all the questions and concerns we had about food and drinks. He lead us to some amazing recommendations! Overall would come back just to be served by him again! Thank you so much again!!

overall just a very disappointing experience that I could probably talk about endlessly. The servers insistency on memorizing our food orders was unnecessary and time consuming. We (party of 4) waited to get sat at a table despite having a reservation and despite the restaurant being empty. Nobody greeted us at all in the front. The coconut shrimp was for lack of better words bad and didn’t have any taste of coconut was definitely frozen… food came out in a random order got one appetizer to start and then the rest of the appetizers with the rest of the food. We ended up sending their salad back which was met with a lot of pushback we asked if they could change it slightly in terms of presentation so it was easier to eat and they said they could not change it and took it back reluctantly. I think the part that lives in my mind the most was that once we started to complain about the service and once we sent the salad back they decided to cut off my parties drinks. apparently we had reached our limit (one mixed drink & 1 shot per person). ordering a drink became an awkward pulling of teeth situation. Somehow got even worse when we ordered a last round of shots for the table before leaving, the round of shots was added onto our bills and we never received them…. I’m not sure if it was because my party is not the typical demographic seen in this establishment but I was truly disappointed and definitely see what people mean by calling this place overhyped.
