It was my birthday and I got some gifts, I was trying to keep them at the coat check and the security didn't let me even get in , I was not going to use the gifts inside, they couldn't just keep In the coat check while I was in their location? It's like they don't care about their costumers , I was not asking for free , I was going to pay , I'm really disappointed about that , I lost my gifts bc of that!

The drag performers are amazing and the place is spacious! The drinks are okay so I would drink at another place beforehand.

Toronto's well known gay bar, and it's not a bad establishment. I bet there was history because it literally feels like an old house just redeveloped into a bar/business establishment. I wonder what is the story...
Anyways, I came with the gaggle of gays from Vancouver for the VELD weekend. And we told all the other Toronto Gays to come as well, and we pretty much took over a huge section of the bar and watched Drag queens all night dancing to Charli XCX, Chappell Roan and Troye Sivan. There were of course random gays from Toronto here that I met. They were extremely nice and welcoming, of course. The bar tenders were nice and efficient at their job, would consider them just ok. But they were extremely attentive.
Would come again to celebrate Pride and see how chaotic it would be. LOL

The bartender who is white and shirtless half of the time. Who has been working forever at the place is rude as hell. Fire him already. If you don’t like your job stop been rude to people and ignore them

Have had problems with security at concert venues around the city being homophobic and barring my friends from entering with me for health card IDs and punking me around enabling altercations whereby homophobe ableists punch down on me around the stage. Never had a problem on Church until the Woody's meathead doorman erroneously used exclusionary language towards me trying to punk me around upon inquiring about a bag check. "okay no problem I'll go somewhere else" *try to walk away* "yeah yeah we don't want you here" *makes passive agressive body language indicating his meathead security guard likeness is the king of a garbage covered sidewalk if it's the last thing he does. *I turn around* "What did you just say to me?" *gay bar doorstaff guy hurries out tries to talk over him correcting him "we don't want your bag here [or something?]" No no we don't want you here trying to correct your meathead who's punching down on me. Came hot on the tail of an incident where a security guard tried to punk me out of the church rainbow alleyway for trying to liven up a drug addled urinal with a skateboard trick. Sorry that Woody doesn't like wood it happens to be my life partner. Get your security in check don't condescend me on the loneliest day of the year for me with your mishandling of public business face interaction. For all the talk about anti-police at Pride and not one of these places will pay more or chance it on women security. Woody's doesn't like wood and I bet if I brought a windsail SAILOR would call the cops. Reminds me of this bar I rode for spite on in Manchester UK that channels California surf skate subculture and features a flat box out front. The reverse polarity of UK indie rock scene posers deemed that it was a trendy attention grab. At least it's not Woody's SAILOR in Toronto where everything sucks. HAPPY PRIDE. NOT.

Disappointed with the experience me and my boyfriend had after a visit during the pride parade. The place has a wonderful vibe, everyone is so joyful and having a great time. However after visiting the bar we walked away with smaller cups (that were considerably more expensive) than several groups that ordered similar drinks before us. It's difficult to not feel discriminated against as trans gay guys. Please treat your customers equally. I thought that would be the spirit of an LGBT bar, but apparently not. Extremely let down by a place with great potential.
