It was great ! We were in the CNE grounds and the hotel was right there . Great food and room service , great staff and very nice view of the lake and CNE . We stay at the Hotel every chance we get .We were there last year for the CNE and Toronto Honda Indy race and stayed four nights .

Do not stay here if you expect any service as a hotel guest. So unwelcoming and absolutely not worth the steep price. I’m from Toronto and paid for a one bedroom suite which cost just over $1000 for a bachelorette. Might as well have stayed at home. I called room service to order 2 martinis and the lady on the other line said “we don’t do that”. When asked what that means she said they don’t provide alcohol, which is fine but she didn’t tell me what my options were since there was no in-room bar fridge. When pressed she stated that they only have “canned alcohol” and if I want a martini I should call the front desk and they can get one from one of the restaurants. Long story short, after about a dozen unanswered calls to front desk and guest services I was told they can’t help me and my best bet was to try to go to the restaurant myself and get the drinks. To be clear, they weren’t actually sure this would work. I also highly doubt the restaurant would allow me to walk around the hotel with 2 martinis… I also booked the hotel solely for the pool which we basically couldn’t use. My checkout was at 12 but apparently I could only book the pool from 9-11 EVEN THOUGH checkout was at 12. They don’t stipulate this when you book the hotel unless it’s in MICRO print somewhere I didn’t see. We got there around 9:30 am and there were no lounge chairs. We had to sit on hard, uncomfortable patio chairs and were forced to leave at 11 am. Do not stay here and use you hard-earned money to go to a hotel that services their guests.

Very nice hotel, great location and our stay was awesome! We were staying here as we had a show to go see at Echo Beach and we walked across to it, we also went to the Ex and it was a 3 minute walk to the entrance. Would reccomend!

Wrong info regarding schedule time in restaurant was provided (it was actually closed) I suggest to have an actual mini bar in the rooms. Personnel is very kind, rooms are fine, view is amazing, location is fantastic!

Andre Dundas provided exceptional service every day. He was intentional about making me, my team, and all the guests who entered the property feel warm, welcomed, and remembered. Overall, the staff as a whole was great. The property is beautiful and well kept. We ate at the hotel restaurant every day, and the food and drinks were perfect.

Courteous and friendly staff, very clean and modern. I loved having valets who helped you in and out of your vehicle, assisting with loading and unloading your luggage. Food from room service was amazing! Best hotel stay ever!

Very nice hotel but they completely dropped the ball on me. When I had booked my room I had made a note that I would be proposing to my girlfriend. So I had requested for rose petals and a bottle of prosecco to be in the room upon arrival. I even noted for them to be there one hour prior to check in to make sure everything would be ready. Upon arrival there was no prosecco in the room. This completely messed up my plans for proposing as I had mentioned to the hotel. When I called down to find out what happened they were very unprofessional and said they would look into it and call me back. Then after waiting they said it would be a half hour. When they finally came to the room I had gone ahead with my proposal already and so I told them how deeply disappointed I was that they had messed this up. But despite my very sincere account of my disappointment, they failed any attempt to make it up. They simply and plainly said sorry, left the room and I never heard anything again on the matter. Seemed as though they didn't care whatsoever about their mistake and found no way at all to show any concern.

Stayed in a suite the night before our wedding and the night after. Suite was spacious enough for 6 women to get hair and makeup done. The staff was so wonderful and service was excellent. Highly recommend!

The hotel is nice however the service is very slow in the restaurant and atrocious at the pool. The pool reservations are also unclear, we thought a reservation would include a chair but did not. We didn’t arrive right on time to our reservation but would have if we knew it was first come first serve for the chairs. Overall the service didn’t match the price and the hotel isn’t nice enough to warrant going back. Stay at the fairmont for a similar price with fantastic service and nicer rooms

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel X at the end of August for a few nights for a fun getaway. We live in downtown Toronto...but instead of heading out of the city we decided to stay here for a different experience and this place was exactly what we hoped it would be! Upon check-in we were greeted by the loveliest staff members who truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect room. They also helped us secure an early check-in (which is never guaranteed) as we were going to the spa first thing that morning and we were so grateful! After the spa we visited the rooftop pool which was FABULOUS!! At first we were disappointed to learn that you had to book certain times to be there but after we got there we really appreciated it because it keeps the pool less crowded and much more relaxing. The pool is just beautiful and was definitely one of our favourite parts of the stay! We also must talk abut Roses Cocina!! The food here was next level and so unexpected as we haven't heard of the restaurant before staying there! Everything we tried on the menu was delicious for brunch, lunch and dinner! I personally ate the Huevos Rancheros every day and I still talk about how great it was! Roses is definitely a place we will be back to enjoy dinner again even if we aren't at the hotel! The movie theatre was a very fun extra to the property and we also enjoyed how close Hotel X was to The Ex and also Budweiser Stage. If you are seeing a concert there it is a GREAT idea to stay at the hotel to enhance your experience for sure! Lastly, we must talk about the service! I had read some reviews before booking that were mixed but I am delighted to tell you that our experience was absolutely wonderful with all the staff we came in contact with! Sebastien at the front desk, and both Concierges we spoke with before we arrived were extremely helpful! Special mention to Jacob Felts as he truly went above and beyond for us to make sure our stay was excellent. He checked in with us each day and offered his kind assistance wherever he could and made sure we were always happy, he even went way above our expectations and helped us have dinner at Roses Cocina our last night even though it was fully booked! He really understands impeccable service and he is an asset to the team there. We will be back! Thank you all so much!
