Went to Xango twice to celebrate 2 different birthdays on separate occasions. Had the crispy chicken katsu both times, and it didn't disappoint.Sat both in the outdoor seating as well as the indoor and I absolutely loved the atmosphere.

A lot of tapas/share plates. The calamari was cooked perfectly, but the ink sauce was maybe reduced too much? (Hard to get off the plate)Dumplings were delicious. Juan was funny, kind and accommodating. Didn't feel rushed to leave, and he helped with recommendations and fun shots.Music is fun and loud, but not annoying so. Great atmosphere overall!

The overall experience was good! Our server (Bradley) was incredibly sweet and accommodating. The food was 10/10 all around. The only thing that was disappointing was making a request for a table and not receiving it (there was space) when booking a long time in advance and being first put in a dark spot away in a different room from the centre of the space, but we were later seated in the main room. Overall would recommend!
Great atmosphere. We had ordered the chicken dumplings, trio dip, pork bao, and cod taco. All four were amazing. Service was great and location is central enough to be able to walk to other bars, queen street shopping area and even yuk yuk's. Highly recommend.
Fire the general manager. It's impossible for the magic of Chef Shawn's recipes to be realized when so many basic, trashy moments happened. When I was sat, we were sat at a table that was so wobbly, I had to prop it up against the wall so our drinks didn't spill. The server was cool, but had so little training he couldn't help us to order an appropriate amount of food, considering it's a sharing style experience - - and me asking. Our first dish arrived and we didn't have any plates or cutlery to enjoy it. When we ordered a bottle of wine, we got glasses that were still stained by the last guest with lipstick marks. The person opening it had no idea how to use their double hinged corkscrew to open the wine and it was a miracle of Jesus the cork didn't break off while opening it. The wine arrived so much after our lamb and rib dishes that they had cooled significantly. When we ordered more dishes they, again, arrived before cutlery and plates did. Obviously the food cooled significantly while we waited. I had mentioned several times that I was celebrating a birthday with a friend and it was missed, despite many apparent birthday acknowledgments happening around us. The washrooms were nasty. I can't fault the server though because it's clear this was a failure of leadership.
Came here with a close friend for a bit to eat before a show. The aesthetics of the restaurant were superb. Food was amazing fish tacos were my fav, still thinking about it the next morning ? Server was very polite and knowledgeable, he helped guide us through the menu and gave us his recommendations and what was the crowd favourite. I will be returning in the near future; highly recommend.

Had a lovely time at Xango. We had an excellent server, can’t remember his name, had tattoos down his arm. He does dinner service and then bartends after hours. Anyways, he was great, gave good description of the food, provided thoughtful feedback on cocktail choices and just overall hospitable. Food wise, everything was tasty and great timing. Cocktails were made well. Overall the thing that made the difference for this experience was probably the service. I can find good food and good cocktails anywhere, but good service always sets places apart. I hope he gets recognition for his excellent service.

Went here on a Friday night with friends and I loved it! The appetizer I got was the chicken Japanese dumplings and although they were a bit too salty, it was still enjoyable. I also ordered this gin cocktail that came with flowers as the garnish which I absolutely loved and would recommend for a tasty drink. The music was great, the server was a sweetheart too :-)
A hidden Gem !!!! Shared a few dishes with my guest because we wanted to try so many items on the menu and we were pleasantly surprised by the burst of flavors that came from these dishes !! By far our favorite were the Black Cod Tacos, so good in fact we had to reorder them twice !!! The service was on point and very friendly, we will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends and will also visit again soon !!!

Fun time, Good drinks and food, but VERY loud. We also reqested a booth, and did not get one as they were "fully booked and expecting a big group" however that never occured and several other small groups were sat in booths...

The place has a really nice vibe, ambient and nicely decorated. I thought the food was okay (given the price, thought it should taste better). We ordered the chicken bites, salmon donburi, the chicken main, and cauliflower cheese. The cauliflower cheese was amazing! However I feel like the chicken was a bit dry and I had to rub the thyme on it? It was garnished with the raw herb? Anyhow, the flavors were still good ?

A hidden Gem !!! A must go to restaurant. The food was delicious and bursting with flavors, the Black Cod Tacos were our fav and had to reorder a 2nd time just because they were that tasty !! Will be back very soon to experience more food items. Service was on point too, overall a wonderful experience.
