I ordered stir fired beef to go and for what I understand “Stir Fried” should not be half bowl of soup/oil inside. it’s a dry dish as it names “stir fried beef”. The point is the dish tastes like pre-made food for me. very disappointed.

I had an amazing experience here! The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the food is incredibly tasty. Every dish was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Once you visit this place, you’ll definitely find yourself coming back again and again. Highly recommended!

Just like the reviews, foods were tasty. We actually went to the China town for this restaurant, and it was worth it.

The food here is obviously the ready-to-food type of food. The service here is none-existent, and the bill is confusing. Would never come back.
I highly doubt the high rating and good reviews they are getting here.

Used to come here for grilled fish when it was operating under another name. Wanted to try again to see if food are as good as they used to be.

Grilled fish is spicy and aromatic as it should be. Lunch meat, potato and lotus roots absorb the broth and spicy oil, making it great to eat with rice.

Stir fried cumin lamb is fried to the proper tenderness. Cumin is the main flavour, removing most of the gaminess of lamb.

Chicken fried rice is surprisingly good. It is fried in peanut oil with just enough soy sauce to colour and flavour the rice. While there is wok hay, it is not overly intense, which is perfect for eating with all the other dishes.

It is as good as it was and I will be coming back often.

Between bites I ascended to heaven and gave God a high five while borderline weeping tears of pure bliss. The food is among the best I’ve had in my life, well cooked, seasoned, and generously portioned. I implore and beg of you to come here, it deserves the 5 star average review.

Really enjoyed our first meal at Chopfire. We ordered the stir fried lamb with cumin ($20.95) and the home stir-fried beef ($22.95). Both were very good, nice and spicy. Also generous portions. You could easily get 2 main dishes and have enough food for 3 people. With 2 bowls of steamed rice ($2.50 x 2) and tip, the bill came to $62. So it's not the best deal on Spadina, but we found the price to quality ratio to be acceptable. The atmosphere is pleasant; plenty of room and lots of tables available at 1pm on a Wednesday.

Delicious and of good portion!

The quality and the texture of the grilled fish is something we’ve seen inconsistency in the market, and this place got’em right
