The almond croissant was delicious and so was the spinach artichoke pastry. Seating was bar-style — a long counter by the window with about 10–12 stools. It is located along a barbershop in the same venue, which to me was is a bit weird.

Review:
The café has a cute, cozy atmosphere, but my experience was disappointing due to a rude interaction with the manager. After purchasing food and eating while working quietly, the manager told me, “We are usually busy on Saturdays, and if you’re going to be working, you have about 30 minutes left,” before asking me to leave- even though there were plenty of empty seats available. I’ve never encountered such treatment as a paying customer. Unfortunately, Yonge & Eligible has lost a loyal customer and my partner will not be going back for his haircuts either.

A cute cafe located under 10 minutes from Yonge and Eglinton station. Accessible and walkable distance.

I didn’t get a chance to try out the food and stopped by for a quick coffee refresh. I ordered a Flat White for here and the owner (I assume) was friendly and welcoming.

Barista made my drink to go instead but what was more disappointing is the temperature of the Flat White. It was incredibly hot almost scalding and ruined the taste.

Overall, I’d be willing to come back to try again to see if it’s the same when in the area. Owner and overall vibes is 5/5 but the Flat White is a 2/5 at best unfortunately.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews,
but I felt really disappointed today.

This used to be one of my favorite neighborhood cafés, but the owner was just… not nice at all. When I was paying for my drink after I had been sitting for a while there, they told me next time I would be allowed to only stay for 30 minutes because it’s “bad for business.” which I could totally understand, but the thing is his attitude and facial expression were so cold and unfriendly that I felt completely unwelcome.

Even if it’s a small local café, shouldn’t hospitality matter more than just chasing profit?

I was truly impressed by the coffee and the orange cake. I had just returned from a long day, and the warm and friendly way the lady welcomed me genuinely lifted my spirits. At one point, I accidentally spilled my coffee, and she kindly offered to replace it — though I didn’t accept, as it really wasn’t necessary. Her kindness and hospitality have definitely placed this spot on my list of favorite places to visit. Thank you so much!

Dog friendly outdoor patio with a lovely amount of shade and sunlight. Loved the salted caramel frappe and the pecan tart was delicious! A fresh bowl of iced water was also brought out for my dog companion! The inside of the cafe is also really cute with lots of plants and looked very clean
