Nice looking place. We did the omakase menu here, and this is NOT the place to do Omakase. You can get much better food and value elsewhere. Omakase should be an experince w a chef and this was simply smtable service. Speaking of service, it was just ok. Food wasn't much better. We were served 6-7 servings of sub-standard tuna followed by an overly sweet Yuzu dessert. Won't be returning unless this improves.

The food here is amazing. We went twice and the first time service was amazing, the second time it was pretty awful so I took two stars away for that. Even though the second time service was bad I still tipped 20% and she didn’t even say “thank you” when we were leaving and we walked right by her. We were polite and barely saw her so it was a very odd experience. Atmosphere is pretty loud and congested. Overall I like it here and will probably return.

We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Yen K. at Yu Seafood, and I must say, she was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, Yen welcomed us with a warm, graceful smile that immediately set a positive tone for the entire experience. Her presence was not only professional but also genuinely kind, attentive, and refreshingly sincere.

Yen embodies what it means to deliver not just great service, but a memorable dining experience. Yu Seafood is lucky to have her—she’s a true gem and a remarkable ambassador for the restaurant.

I've been here before, but today I went to try their dim sum for the first time. This was my first time trying dim sum in general. I ordered the Eel and Avacado streamed roll dim sum and the Vegetables and Muchroom dim sum.

The Eel and Avacado came first, the flavors were good, but the temperature of the food was not. The food was not hot, it felt like they had it sitting out for a while before I got it. I told the server and he took it away. I thought they were going to make me a fresh one, but I realized he just brought back the same one that they supposedly warmed up, but the temperature was not much different from when he took it away. It was disappointing, to be honest.

The vegetables and mushroom dim sum was pretty good. The flavors were nice.

ZOIE Services is perfect!

Great food (at a hefty price), but the server we got seemed to go out of his way to avoid or table - moreso than usual.

Although this is pricier than your typical dim sum. Its also a superior experience than your typical dim sum. Most importantly the food tastes great. Their spare ribs were velvety soft. Dishes were decent size considering the price

Environment was nice and spacious, which isnt always typical or dim sum restaurants

Service was immaculate! Even brought out a plate of fruit for my baby.

Great experience with server Ka Yan. She is so helpful and kind! We want extra dish and she suggested it would be too much. She constantly keeping an eye on our table. Great experience.

Second time here, and I must say this location is way better than the Richmond Hill location in terms of taste, selection, service, and ambience. Service is super top notch and quick, food arrived fast and hot. Highly recommend their special fried rice and the whole duck 3-way experience. The selection for dim sum is a little lacking but there are plenty of HK style dim sum places that offer wider selection in the GTA.

my review and my experience and express my disappointment with the experience my group and I had during our recent visit to "YU Seafood restaurant" . The level of service we received has left us feeling unsatisfied and concerned about the practices within your establishment.

Upon visiting your restaurant with a group of five individuals, we were taken aback by the total bill amount presented to us. It was alarming to discover that an 18% gratuity charge had been automatically added to each of our separate bills. As per our understanding, the removal of HST by the government until January should have been reflected in the total bill. But unexpected imposition of gratuity without prior notice or consent is deemed as unacceptable from our point of view. We firmly believe that tipping should be discretionary and based on the quality of service provided.

Moreover, our dining experience was further marred by the unavailability of certain menu items. It was reported to us that the chef had concluded their shift at 4:00 pm, dim sum not available most of food we are planning is not available resulting in limited options for those dining later in the
evening. This lack of transparency regarding the operating hours of the chef has led to dissatisfaction among our party, who expected a full menu selection during our visit.

My friends and I decided to celebrate a Birthday at Yu Seafood. Since it was our first time we had trouble deciding what to order on the menu. Our server Nikki was very polite, attentive and helpful. She recommended us to try the maple syrup glazed bbq pork and the lobster which was the most delicious we have ever had. I would 100% visit again with my family.

Updating my review. The place is so disorganized and the service is horrible. Everyone here is running around like chickens without their heads. We arrived less than 10 minutes EARLY for our reservation and they couldn't even figure out a table. Whoever is the man at the front desk is not handling things well at all.
