Highly recommend this restaurant. It's a great family-owned place on the second floor. I had the beef and tofu. The corn soups and hot & sour soups were delicious. The service was prompt and the food arrived hot. I plan to bring some friends soon.

Ordered Salted Mackerel Fish and Chicken fried rice through UberEats.
It tastes very authentic to what we get in Hong Kong.

One of the first Chinese Hakka restaurants in downtown Toronto, and it truly delivers!
We ordered the beef fried rice, chili chicken on a sizzling skillet, and fried calamari. Everything was delicious. The chili chicken had that perfect Hakka-style spice and came out sizzling hot, the beef fried rice was flavorful and well-portioned, and the calamari was crispy without being greasy. On top of that, the service was fast and friendly. I’ll definitely be back anytime I’m in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Great hakka food for downtown Toronto. This place feels like a local establishment. Their service is excellent and definitely some of the better hakka restaurants in the heart of the city.

Standout dishes are absolutely the chilli chicken and crispy beef

I've been here several times and their food is consistently delicious. I always appreciate consistency in a restaurant. I've tried several items on their menu like their chilli beef chow mein, Manchurian chicken chow mein and chilli chicken in rice. All of them were packed with amazing flavor. The staff is really helpful and friendly, always attentive. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who's downtown and craving some Hakka food. I would even go as far as to say that this is probably the number one Hakka joint downtown. I just wish they were open later on Friday and Saturday.

I saw Yueh Tung Restaurant on Tik Tok located 126 Elizabeth St, in downtown Toronto. I was interested in the story of the owner and thought it would be a nice place to check out. I didn't get the time to attend in person but, decided that I would order by Uber Eats. So, on this order I decided to order Chili Chicken Chow Mein and a Fanta Orange. I have included pictures. I will say I was looking forward to the meal. I was lucky the delivery driver had a great trip as it came in hot. When I removed the lid I knew it may not be as I had hoped. For me there was too much gravy. I wish they had an option for dry Chili Chicken it was not a good meal for me. I was disappointed but not discouraged as I learned a lesson to not order this meal next time. I am willing to try another meal option to finalize my opinion for this restaurant. I just found the noodle and meat lacked flavor and the excess sauce only made it worst. I would say have a visit and maybe the meal option would be better.

So.... delicious. And they will become my favor Hakka restaurant when I visit downtown.

One of the BEST Hakka restaurant. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

My mom just fall in love with their hot zizzling chilli chicken generous portion with the prefect touch.

My sister loves their zizzling beef which is so tender, I'm telling ya, its so worth it every penny.
Foods just melt in our tummy so yum😋 so.... delicious and I means it. I would highly recommend my families and friends.
The chef is super friendly and beautiful and their foods is sooooooo yummy "I be back"❤️👍👍👍

All the staffs provide Excellent service, super friendly and I love how they check to see if you are okay. Generous with napkins drinks and change plate for you . I found out that this is a families business that have been pass down generation to generation. Restaurant have been open since 1987. Like WoW. Lots of VIP visit however owner like to keep it low profile and only people visit will definitely revisit and their restaurant Its above Kyoto restaurant right in the corner across from Longos on the 2nd floor. I love the big red door very very anti looking and very classic. Loved ❤️
You can host a hugh group party fits 150 to 200 people. Looking forward to try others dishes and 😅

You can try to go for pay parking on the north side of Dundas which is about a block north and is on Elizabeth st. For $20 or $25 all day parking, so... worth it 👍and you can go shop around the Eaton Center or I think they call Dundas square. Otherwise its hard to find parking in the area. That how good the food is and I highly recommend you to try it. You will like it, after you can have a dessert Green tea match downstairson Dundas st... omgoodness. Me will be 🐷 if I visit everyday🤣😂🤣 have a great day!

After growing up and eating Hakka food all my life in Toronto I felt it was my duty to make a pilgrimage here to honour Hakka cuisine and how it all started in Toronto. The place was nicer than I imagined and the staff were friendly. Usually friendly staff at a Chinese place might be a red flag (give me the grumpy auntie or uncle any day) but this wasn't. Ordered the salt pepper mushrooms (super tasty and with not too much excess batter) and signature chili chicken (excellent) Spicier than what I'm used to but that's not a bad thing. New owner (daughter of family that has run this place for decades) has taken over operations and she was friendly and attentive. Portions were decent and we had leftovers as well. Would highly recommend. They even have a happy hour menu. We'll be back!

One of my favorite restaurants in town right now. Large portions, high quality ingredients and cooking, relatively fair prices, great great hospitality, what else can you ask for?

Probably will not go back for their Manchurian or chili chicken/beef on rice, they are ok but definitely not the real gems of this restaurant, so far i am really satisfied with their other dishes like stuffed tofu, beef brisket and beef onion sizzler, they are all great.

Definitely gonna keep coming back for all other dishes, this place won’t disappoint.

Family run establishment. Their hot n sour soup is to die for. It is a perfect thing on a cold Toronto evening.
Also had veg chowmein and it was fantastic as well.
Portions are huge. Staff is polite and prompt. Recommend 💯.

I got the chinese broccoli and beef on rice for $18 instead of just the beed for $21. The person who took my order said the beef on rice was a almost the same amount of beef as the $21 dish. Since the order was just for one person, I got the beef on rice for $18. The portion was so small and the beef was chewy. This used to taste way better. For the price, I could have gotten a better portion and better quality meat at the Eaton Centre food court. So disappointing! What happened to this place??
