They are serving the most delicious dumplings on paper plates and plastic spoons. It spoils the experience. No tea cups only paper cups. Please consider bringing back real plates.

Chive, pork, and shrimp potstickers were a 10/10. They’re already well seasoned, perfectly fine to eat them as is, I added chili oil and vinegar to mine for an extra kick.
Chive pockets were well seasoned, the chives were not dry at all, no sandy texture either.
Would get both items again!

While the store front looked a little suspicious with boxes piling up, the smell was incredibly inviting. We were greeted nicely and were given recommendations on what to get. The food came out relatively quickly and was really good!! Highly recommend the 小籠包, incredibly soupy and a great portion size too!!

Great food!! But service was very slow and asked for more tip. Waitress hung out chatting with friends while we waited 15 minutes to pay. Overall dinner took 1.5 hrs. Expensive for the area.
EDIT: Went back 6 years later since there is so much hype. Still not worth it - they serve everything on disposable plates and the prices are much higher than the rest of Chinatown. The food is good but not amazing, really won’t be back soon.

The internet told me this place has the best soup dumplings in Toronto and it's probably true bc they were not only terrific but also great value. Adults and kids all had a great time, and we went back for more a few days later. Very warm and welcoming staff.
Heads up: the venue is at basement level down a short flight of stairs.

Corn Dumplings - These plump dumplings are pan-fried for a delightful crispiness and fragrant, and filled with something I usually don't get. There's pork, shrimp, mushrooms, and... corn? I was surprised and it was delicious, a slight crisp from the shrimp, the umami of the pork, the aromas of the mushroom, and the subtle sweetness all in one bite are just harmonious.
Rolled Beef Scallion Pancake - As good as green onion pancakes are by themselves, why not make them even tastier by adding beef to them? Not only are you adding soy-based, beefy aromas to every bite, but you also get a wider variety of textures and a sharp hit of dopamine from the beef.
Soup Dumplings - Handle with care! These soup dumplings are dressing skimpy tonight, barely holding onto their delicious contents. Once you take a bite, it's like a river of umami, porky flavour bursts into your mouth as that delicate skin dissolves away in the flood.
Pork and Chive Bun - Sure, a steaming hot, fluffy bun is great, but what really makes or breaks a bun is the meat to bun ratio. Perfect proportions here, a moist and aromatic pork and chive filling accompanies a soft bun that brings a pleasant, nostalgic taste.

Make sure to pay attention when writing down your order. I accidentally ordered the wrong dish (and of course it was for my kind of picky daughter), but guess what, it was still delicious.

the food here was AMAZING!! And the service was great too. We got the soup dumplings, rolled beef pancake, and pork shrimp chive dumplings. we loved them all!
You can tell these are freshly made. Usually the soup dumplings burst when you pick them up, but these stayed intact!! The flavours were amazing. Even the pork dumplings themselves were so juicy it was almost a soup dumpling! The beef pancake was sooo tasty.
And as others mentioned, the homemade chili oil was great too. Will be back to try the other stuff!!! ❤️

This place never disappoints. I recommend eating and enjoying the food inside the restaurant. Every dish is delicious and comforting. Fast service, fair prices. Try their cucumber salad, pork & chive steamed dumplings, pork & cabbage steamed buns, and their soup dumplings
