Every dish we tried we liked. Very comfortable setting. We couldn't tell if the Orion beer is real because they didn't open the bottles in front of us (as is normal for a bar in japan) but it did have a nice malt flavour so we think it's authentic 😆, the highball could be stronger. Would recommend, would return. Best dish for me was the hotate wasa

The torched salmon sushi was probably my favourite item on the menu! Second would have been the karaage, super moist! The gyoza was what you'd expect but still great!
They had a good selection of drinks. The house made sake was strong and coated my mouth the entire night (no complaints).
The atmosphere was nice, felt very comfortable and the staff were helpful. Great service here and we didn't feel rushed at all. Just a reminder they don't split bills here

Located in a small restaurant neighborhood strip. This izakaya isn't your traditional one with skewered meats. Instead, you'll find some unique mix of offerings.
Torikawa 6.50
Fatty chicken skin. Interesting. Certainly pairs with beer. Unhealthy, but tastes great.
Inari 5.90
Tofu pouches. Sweet and savory. Though a bit too sweet for me.
Ehire 9.50
Grilled stingray fin. Interesting texture. A bit salty. Again, beer food.
Grilled Oyster 14.50
Huge oysters with blackbird bread. Oysters were cooked perfectly. Bread is ok.
Yuugi Sushi (6pc) 17.50
Saba Sushi (6pc) 16.50
Both were pressed sushi. Both were good, though the mackerel was more fishy.
Paid Street parking.

I love their fried chicken sauce, I would like to know the recipe. The sushi is fine, a little bit fishy but acceptable.

Amazing Experience!
We had the pleasure of tasting two exquisite dishes. The Maguro Tataki was presented with detail, beautiful and just as flavorful. The slightly charred exterior added a wonderful smoky aroma that complemented the truffle and was finished with a subtle, sweet umami ponzu.
The Hotate Wasabi elevated one of my all-time favorites. The scallop brought a delightful brightness to the dish, pairing perfectly with the octopus. Every bite was a harmonious blend of flavors!
I will be back again soon!

Visiting Toronto, this place stood out. Everything we tried was great, especially the wagyu roll. The meat was so tender that I couldn't even tell I was biting into meat. The miso soup was flavorful, maybe a little on the saltier side, but I loved it. The creamy noodle dish with pork was something I liked more than I thought I would. The flavors and the sauce all worked very well together. The crispy salmon dish was amazing as well. The Australian wagyu beef with rice was the least impressive dish. It was just a standard stir-fried rice and beef dish.
The service was good. There's always someone around to get the attention of. We did have an awkward interaction where I asked for extra napkins while the sever was refilling our water cups. The server didn't respond and we were just left wondering whether the server heard me or not. After a bit, the server did come back with the napkins.
The atmosphere here is okay. The seating is pretty tight with tables which I'm never a fan of but you gotta work with the space you have I guess. The place can get a little loud. The bathroom is a single person bathroom that's decently clean.

I loved this place, we came here on a weekday as a last minute reservation for my wife's birthday. They made it incredible. The food and atmosphere are both excellent and the service is outstanding. We got the karage, the sushi and some appetizers which were very good. The staff was so nice and warm. You guys have made us a long time customer, we will be coming back for sure. Thanks ?

This Izakaya is truly exceptional. Each dish I had the pleasure of ordering was prepared with great skill and attention to detail, especially the beef omurice rice, which evoked fond memories of my time in Japan. For a brief moment, I felt as though I was transported back to the heart of that wonderful country. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I highly recommend this place.

I went there for the first time with my friend. The Karaage was one of the best I’ve ever had even compare to Japan.
The vibe was very good. The chef was very friendly as well.
I’ll definitely come back !!
