Waited for ~25 minutes for someone to come to the register while 5 employees were gossiping amongst themselves in the back. Only seem to get their attention and rude words when you capture their lax behavior on camera. Seemed racially motivated in my opinion since they were aggressive and started blaming me for something on their counter.

Zaad offers a new take on Mediterranean food, with delicious flavours and welcoming staff. I tried the Chicken Shawarma Saj, which came as a wrap cut up into smaller pieces. I loved the sauce that came with it and the chicken was slightly charred without being dry, giving it that nice smokey flavour. The falafel balls were crispy but unfortunately dry. The hummus is great and the eggplant dish is decent. Surprisingly, the lentil soup was my favourite out of the sides, and was full of ingredients. The restaurant features an open kitchen where you can see the chefs at work preparing your meal, and booth seating on the side if you wish to dine in. I returned a second time to try the shawarma bowls and was not disappointed. Portions were huge, and the meal contained mixed veggies, hummus, garlic sauce (ask for more of this!), rice or fries. The staff offered extra pita for the dips free of charge upon asking.

Got to try the chicken shawarma platter and the kebab platter. Not the best I’ve had but not the worst. The special of the day is reasonable for the price, otherwise I found it too expensive. Portions are decently sized, service is friendly and presentation of food was ??Lentil soup stood out the most in terms of flavour. I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to have it but if it’s in the area, this will satisfy ur middle eastern craving.

Probably the worst tasting falafel I have ever had. It was literally bread filler with some flavouring. Soggy salad and veggies. They go crazy on the sauces too. I took a chance and got burned.
