Went here for a birthday party for my friend Felix and the food is incredible and super authentic! The wait staff are all Chinese-speaking and it was a great opportunity to try some incredible lamb, pork, chicken, and seafood dishes grilled.
This was my first time trying a century old egg, my friend Boyu told me that this is a dish that separates men from boys in China - and I'm glad to find out that I'm now capable of being a Chinese man.
Great experience, our group was very boisterous and obnoxious, and the wait staff were incredibly patient with us.

My choice spot for drinking Rio's and eating skewers 10/10 combo. Their twice cooked pork dish is also a must!

Congratulations for finding this post
Save 40.99➕tax to buy their crayfish
I have also eaten lobster from two other places in Toronto. Although the taste is not as good as that in China, the taste is still fresh.
But this crayfish is said to be frozen and airlifted from China. It tastes like dried lobster, just like dried shrimp remade with spicy flavor.
I don’t know if I can understand the taste. It’s very strange. I’ve never tasted it before!
It's said to be 3 pounds of lobster. I guess there are only about 20 of them, which costs about $2 each.
I am a big fan of crayfish and I really had the guts to finish it.
Feedback to the merchant was fruitless. Even the bone plate was not replaced. The attitude was so bad.
We can only change the plates ourselves from the next table
It can only be said that he stepped on a big thunder
Don't order the chicken gizzards either. They taste very soft...it's really hard to tell.
The naohua also has a soft texture.. How stale are the ingredients?
The kebabs I ordered - mutton kebabs, chicken skin and leeks, were pretty good. If you really want to come to eat at their place, just eat the barbecue.
The crayfish is really, really terrible. Don’t try it. If I could read reviews about their crayfish before I order it, I will never order it!
By the way, what should I do if I get scammed in a Toronto restaurant?

I ordered a Maoxuewang, a small farm stir-fried pork and some grilled skewers, which tasted average. I also ordered a roasted pepper, preserved egg and tofu, which tasted really delicious. Before leaving, we ordered another one on the fantuan app. The disadvantage was the speed of serving. The waiter was too slow and his attitude was okay, but he didn’t know anything about the dishes when asked.
Good food, great service and extensive choice of drinks. Would recommend. I always choose the beef.

Let me talk about my experience first. The portions are not large, the price is too expensive, the food is not served quickly (there are obviously not many people), the heat is unstable, the price of barbecue is not good for the quality, the environment (such as music) and service are okay.
I ordered 3 types of barbecue and two bowls of signature dishes. The barbecue is really not that good, 4 small skewers cost 8 yuan, and the taste is average, a bit bland. The pickling was not done properly, and the taste was not uniform enough. Some places had no taste, and some places had just the right taste. The quality of beef and mutton is not very good, and the taste of beef and mutton is not very good. The chicken crispy bones were not cooked properly and the inside was not hot enough, but the beef skewers and mutton skewers were cooked well enough. The signature farm-style stir-fried pork costs 16 yuan for such a small portion. The slices of meat are quite thin, but the stir-fried pork is overcooked. The taste is just so so. Among all the dishes, the braised pork with pickles and vegetables is quite delicious, the only dish worth the price.
All in all I don’t recommend it, the price/performance ratio is low. It's a pity that I can't give it two and a half stars. Forget it, I'll give it three stars for the sake of the pickled pork with vegetables.
Ps: I was very hungry. I ate for a long time before I remembered to take pictures.

Checked out Zao Bar and Grill last Saturday night and it was surprisingly chill for a weekend. We booked a table for five and got seated without any fuss. First off, the beer prices caught my eye – only $11, which is pretty sweet. The food? Absolutely nailed it. We went to town on the beef and lamb skewers, plus a bunch of other meat and veggie dishes. The spices were spot on – they really know their flavors. Everything tasted amazing and made for a memorable meal.Service was top-notch, too. Friendly, fast, and made us feel right at home. I’m already planning my next visit back. If you’re in the mood for some killer skewers and a laid-back vibe, Zao’s the spot. Highly recommend!
