grabbed a bite here for work lunch since i saw this in a news article. so many people but the line moves fast. staff are friendly and super helpful. prices are higher than avg but the building itself has only pricy food. quality of the fish was great, sushi was fresh, the roles just weren’t particularly exciting. miso soup was bland, cold, and small

I had tried out the ramen here with a friend and received a wooden spoon which could not hold the broth. I had asked for a plastic spoon as my friend got one and they told me they had run out of the plastic spoons. Wooden spoons should not be an option for this ramen as they are flat and have no depth to hold the broth. Please order more regular spoons as there is no way to eat ramen without one.

The food itself was poor quality. The broth had no depth or flavour and noodles were not good. We both did not finish our meals and had thrown them out as we were unsatisfied with the quality. For $16, I was expecting a better meal. Will never go back to this place again.

I come here often for lunch but my recent visit on Tuesday was not pleasant at all.

1) If you order through QR code, be ready to wait. Reading from other comments, it looks like this is a known system issue. My colleague and I placed our order using QR code for the first time here. After 10 minutes of waiting, I asked where our order was because it usually never takes this long and people were walking in and out like a breeze using the cashier line. We were the only ones waiting for more than few minutes. The lady tells me to go check the pickup shelf. After looking through like 20 bags, our order was not there so I ask again. She looks at my receipt, goes to check and it’s very clear they forgot about it so she tells me “5 more minutes”. After another 10 minutes, we still don’t have our order so I ask again. She goes to check again and for some odd reason, our bag is on the floor. Every other bag is either on the table or the shelf but there was one bag just on the floor and that was ours. Clearly they forgot about it again. I mentioned we waited 20 minutes yet she did not even apologize, let alone acknowledge it. Literally just picked up the bag from the floor, passed it and walked away after making us wait 20 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable.

2) So we come back to our desks and when we open the bag, turns out they forgot one miso soup and gave us only one chopstick.

3) The sushi itself was one of the worst quality ever. I kid you not, the ginger was almost rotten. It was not white, it was literally turning brown and very hard and stiff. I tried one and spit it out immediately because it was so bitter and inedible. It had a very distinct taste and smell. I am 100% certain this is ginger that should have been thrown out, not sold. The rice was also very hard and overall felt like refrigerated sushi that’s been expired for few days.

The food at Zen Kyoto is sooooooo GOOD!

The prices are great and the customer service is amazing!

If you're on your lunch hour make sure you get their early because the line-ups are long for this Zen Kyoto, and rightfully so!

I’m obsessed the food here

Hello everyone, I have visited many sushi restaurants and this one is very good. I am Japanese and the taste was as good as Japanese taste. The rice was especially delicious.

Beyond expectations. Usually, I put my take out food on a plate when I get home, but it just looked too pretty to disturb! I can't wait to have this again and try other items! My lunch is giving me mucho happiness!

One of my favourite places on the Path to buy lunch. There's usually a lineup at peak lunch hour.They offer lots of selections of already packed food, as well as dishes you can order from the menu and wait for it to cook.This time, I ordered their torch salmon lovers set that was already made to go. They had just put it out, so I thought I was getting the freshest salmon. Unfortunately, the salmon tasted rather fishy, which surprised me as their food is usually on point.Perhaps they should have a taste test of their fish before putting them out.
