The Udon noodles are described as chewy and soft, while the sushi and rolls are praised for their perfect balance of rice and sashimi. The Onigiri is noted for its large size and lightness. The restaurant's unique feature is its open kitchen, where diners can watch their meals being prepared. The kakiage udon (vegetable + shrimp tempura) is a simple & hearty meal, though some note the tempura could use more shrimp. The tofu, pork belly udon, and yuzu chicken udon are all wonderful, with noodles and broth made in house. While the food quality is high, prices are on the high side (~$25-$30 for a udon). The green tea served is also good. Many say it’s the only place that reminds them of Japan, and making a reservation is recommended.
