I grew up dining here at 369 as a teenager to adulthood, as time goes by, you could tell the quality of the food drops a little and portion of the food drops a little but why do I still go here? Coz for nostalgic reasons and there just aren't many Shanghai restaurants left in Toronto.
If I want to eat Shanghai food, this is pretty much the place coz I would avoid the knock off and fake Din Tai Fung, so not much options.
Anyhow, we order the little dragon soup dumplings, meat is juicy but the size gets smaller. Still steamy hot but I would prefer bigger portion so more juice comes out of the dumplings.
We used to like pan fried pork dumplings (wor tip) but I can't justify seeing the price of 5 pieces jacked up from $6.95 to 11.95 CDN.
We ordered the hot & sour soup (good balance of the spicy and vinegar taste), still decent ingredients and toppings, good amount of heat with some spicy but eatable for many.
The Shanghai thick noodles has good soy sauce look and taste, portion is decent for this dish but would prefer more meat and raw cabbage, there are lots of noodles but not enough toppings.
Our favourite dish is the creamy broth tender chicken with angel hair like noodles. It's a very simple yet difficult to perfection coz if the noodles were overcooked, the angle thin hair like noodles could go soggy. Luckily, they do a great job here.
Overall, I would still come back, sucker for Shanghai food and there just not many left in Toronto, could it be better, sure.
The service here are usually very good, friendly and polite servers.
Parking: Free outdoor parking in the plaza. Usually it's reasonably easy to find parking. However, when it gets busy, it could be harder to find one, so please be patient.

Soup filled dumplings were EXTREMELY soft and mushy on the inside. Basically melted in your mouth and turned into a puree. Not properly cooked at all. The prices are on the high-end too.
The other items (rice and noodles) were good, but we came for the dumplings.
The picture doesn't demonstrate just how soft the meat was on the inside.

Have not been back for a couple of years.
The quality of food has drastically decreased to the point of not coming back any time soon. Very disappointed ?.

Came here with some co-worker for lunch. This is what I consider to be real Chinese food. The server and the owner was also nice to give us a new dish of fried popcorn chicken. All the dishes good. My highlights were the fried rice, hot and sour soup, also the chilli dumplings. I honestly got taken away with trying the food, before taking a photo, but all the dishes were great.

Cockroach alert. Food was mediocre at best. Some of the dishes were out right disappointing. The saddest part was we saw cockroaches crawling in the dining area which the waiters didn't seem too concerned about. Seems to be a common issue according to other reviews. Won't be coming back.

369 Shanghai Dim Sum at 8380 Kennedy Rd., unit C8, was ordered to close on June 11, 2024 for operating in a manner permitting a health hazard and failing to provide adequate protection against the entrance of insects, vermin, or rodents, according to the public health inspection report.
The attitude is okay ?
However :
Seasoned too salty!
The ingredients are not fresh!
Temperature fluctuates!
The color and fragrance are mediocre!
The desktop is sticky!
The seats are tight!
Air does not circulate!
Not worth the money!
