Ambiyan Indian Restaurant

A lovely local restaurant that's been selecting the best curry anywhere! Highly recommend and wander away for a bit with the brie pakoras!

Food was delicious. Our server, Anam. was lovely and very helpful with our menu. He was the best!

It's important to realize the street has been dug up all summer, directly in front of the patio and restaurant, presumably leading to a huge decline in business, sadly for them. The cooking is not quite as impressive as it was in years past, also sadly, but service is still wonderful.

Great food, quick service. They went the extra mile by bringing out a free slice of birthday cake and a candle.

We have been visiting this restaurant periodically for twenty years. Even when it was a steakhouse we dined here. The decor is the same as 20 years ago. The owner had not done any upgrades or changes. It is starting to look shabby, and needing to be redesigned. The staff are very friendly and provide excellent service. The Indian food is quite good, and you can get it ‘less' spicy. More vegetarian options on the menu are required. The owner would do well refresh the interior. Adding back ‘pub grub' style food options would be great! for next years patio season. The martini I had tasted,tasted ‘watered' down. Sorry, but your Resto. needs to reboot, refresh and catch up to 2025.

Nice location on main street Unionville. Ate outside - all the food we ate and served was outstanding.

We ordered a few starters based on the recommended dishes, along with Rogan Josh and Chicken Tikka Masala. Chicken Tikka Masala were a bit of a letdown—the chicken chunks were tough to cut through, lacking the tenderness you’d expect. The paneer dish, and garlic naan was decent.

our server accidentally dropped some chutney on the table and cutlery while moving things around. While that was a bit off-putting, the rest of the service was courteous and fine overall.

Not a terrible experience, but definitely room for improvement in both food quality and attention to detail during service.

Four of us had the pleasure of dining at Ambiyan last night. We started with an order of onion bhaji and chicken samosas. Absolutely delicious with a selection of sauces.
I enjoyed the spicy Goan seafood curry with basmati rice! The seafood was cooked perfectly and curry tasted great. Everyone loved their meals and a couple took some home because of their generous servings. The garlic naan bread was excellent!
We will definitely make reservations to return again.
The only comment I would make is that the acoustics make it a little difficult to have a conversation. Minor detail.

Loved the Paneer Tikka! And the fast service too. Will come again for a party.

My daughter chose this restaurant to celebrate her birthday. Atmosphere was fantastic. The food was terrible! The calamari was overcooked and hard. The shrimp had no taste,even the chicken tikka was bad. Didn’t wanna send anything back and ruin my daughter‘s birthday. They saw that we weren’t eating the food so they did ask How was everything? The best part of the whole meal was my double vodka in the rocks.🤨

An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The ambience was elegant yet comfortable, the staff were professional and attentive, and the food exceeded expectations — fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and beautifully plated.

Excellent food choices and quality. We visit Ambiyan on a regular basis and their food quality is always reliable. We highly recommended Ambiyan when you are craving for Indian cuisine.
