We had a bad experience at another Chatbar location, but this one really turned things around. The staff were super attentive, the service was great, and the food hit the spot. Because it’s in Unionville, the place has a cozy, welcoming vibe that made the whole experience so much better. Definitely worth a visit!

We visited Chatbar at Unionville as a group of five and had a great time overall. We ordered a variety of dishes including oysters, lamb, eggplant, mushrooms, chives, and other seafood. Everything we tried was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor — definitely a highlight of the experience.
The staff were welcoming, polite, and attentive throughout our visit, which added to the positive atmosphere.
That said, the dining area could use some improvement. The ventilation wasn’t ideal, and the saloon felt quite hot and a bit outdated in terms of decor. With a little refresh and better air circulation, the experience could easily be a five-star one.
Would still recommend it for the food and service.

We have self-driving cars and AI that can write novels, but this place expects one person to cover the whole tab and manually calculate who owes what—like we’re living in the Dark Ages. To make it worse, they automatically added a 12% tip, but then gave us the option to tip 10% on top of that?? Make it make sense. Sneaky, outdated, and incredibly frustrating for group dining.

Every bite of food fragrant and flavourful. Highly recommend adding the "spice powder" on the side of each dish. It's very mild and mostly peanuts, sesame and cumin.
