Very nice and friendly lady working there. Very cute storefront and patio aswell! However I purchased a slice of cake and a small cheesecake for 22$ The crepe cake looked super pretty but had unmixed chunks of flour or something in it and the cheesecake was very small and overcooked.

On the pricier side. Good clean and friendly! I like the patio

The go to place for Japanese style cheesecakes, located in beautiful scenic Unionville Main Street, the cake is light and fluffy with robust cheesy flavours. But the menu of this cake shop is very limited.

Took an e-bike ride up to Unionville from Scarborough. Lovely ride took me to HCAFE where I was greeted with string music in their patio and a helpful person behind the counter. 1 person in line, I got my cheesecake and took off back home. Thanks folks!

My wife and I made lunch plans with our dear friends who we have not seen since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.We had lunch at IL Postino and then we grabbed some coffee at POD coffee.I had forgotten my phone in my car when I went for lunch. But luckily, when it was time for dessert; we chose Hcafe which was close to where I parked my car.I agree with my fellow reviewers, the ice cream and waffle tasted great. But for the Love of GOD, please offer long neck spoons !!! The chinese egg waffle and ice cream with toppings are served in a elongated sundae cup...BUT...you only get these tiny plastic spoons. They are exactly like the small spoons that you are given when you are asking to sample say some gelato or ice cream before deciding on which flavour you like.It really was annoying because you could not scoop your ice cream at the bottom of the sundae cup.The service was friendly and efficient. There was a magician who showed up and showed his magic tricks for the kids and family. It was a nice touch.

Went for a walk down Main St Unionville and decided to treat myself to a light dessert that is not over killed by the sugar. This time, I ordered the chocolate swirl. It was light and perfect touch of sweetness to the taste buds. However, the price was a bit higher than anticipated

Matcha flavor is a lot smaller than original flavor.

I went home and opened the cheesecake box. I am pretty sure they gave me a defected cheesecake. It was flat and really small, way smaller than the box.

Ice cream was delicious but the use of single use plastics is alarming. No option for a cone so you don't need a plastic container or spoon. Mochi was also in a plastic box, definitely room for improvement.

OVER PRICED ITEMS. Ordered a Sakura no-baked cheese cake and Sakura mochi. The taste was just average. The red bean stuffing inside the mochi was too sweet. The cheese cake has a mousse like texture. What really surprised me was the size. NOT even a normal size cake, more like a mini cupcake size. Will never buy it again. NOT recommended.

The lady who works there and served me the cheese ? cake was impolite and inpatient. However the cheesecake was tasty ?.

Definitely not fresh and heavily disappointed.I tried cutting a slice and it turned into a sad mess.Won't be returning for sure..Oh, they use the same box for all their cakes so PLEASE don't make the same mistake as I did where I actually put it in the microwave for 10 secs and ended up with a nice strawberry creme (thankfully it was just 1 slice).

Delicious!!! What else is there to say? Worth all the hype and positive reviews. They want more to write but I have none.

Recently bought cakes from this place and found a law firm's business cards stuffed inside the cake boxes. This is absolutely NOT acceptable! Called the business and their response was that it was their business partner. I understand that small businesses are struggling in a pandemic but stuffing unnecessary non-food items crosses the line.
