What a lousy Chinese bbq place. I hope this place closes down and the owners become bankrupt. Ordered the 4 treasure rice and all I got was end pieces. The braised pork has black hair ends still intact in the skin and was inedible. Quantity and quality are both lacking. No wonder the rating for this place is in the toilet. Do yourself a favor and order from other stalls instead.

If you like poor service and mean old ladies, this is the place to go. Food is decent.

Honestly for the price I can't compare, I know it's not 5 stars BBQ place, the old lady was grumpy as she deal with old seniors in the food court. She put way too much soy sauce on my rice, now I need to get hemodialysis treatment.

The BBQ Pork and Roast Pork on Rice with Soup at Hua Xing BBQ was okay.

Previously, meat portions were generous where if you separate out the meat from the rice to the other half of the container, it would be filled up with meat. Now, it’s not as much :( (see picture).

That said, the BBQ pork was soft and flavourful. The Roast Pork was okay in terms of tenderness and the crispy skin. The boiled cabbage was okay.

The soup was good and delicious.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Hua Xing BBQ that I feel compelled to share. I had heard numerous complaints about the service, particularly regarding a lady who works there, and unfortunately, my experience confirmed those concerns.

My family and I were next door getting takeout when we noticed that Hua Xing BBQ had a lot of extra pork, duck, and char siu available. Intrigued, we decided to check out their menu. The prices seemed reasonable, with braised beef brisket listed at $10 and tofu at $6. However, when my mom, who is Chinese and familiar with the cuisine, approached the counter to ask a simple question about the dishes, the response she received was shockingly rude. I witnessed the interaction, and it was clear that the lady had no interest in providing even basic customer service.

Given the unpleasantness of that encounter, we decided against making a purchase. Why would anyone want to spend their money at a place where the staff treats customers with such disdain? It’s disheartening to see a business with potential suffer due to poor service.

If you’re looking for good BBQ, I highly recommend driving just 5-10 minutes to First Markham Place, where you can find HKS B.B.Q. & Noodles House and Extra B.B.Q. House. Yes, there may be long lines, but trust me, it’s worth the wait. The food is not only delicious and filling, but the service is also friendly and welcoming.

It’s no surprise that Hua Xing BBQ struggles to attract customers. The atmosphere feels uninviting, and the staff member I encountered seemed genuinely miserable. I sincerely hope she finds the help she needs to improve her outlook on life and her approach to customer service. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Save your time and money and go somewhere where you’ll be treated with respect.

I asked for a whole duck and to be cut from the display. When I was getting my wallet out they gave me a precut duck and said it is fresh. When I got back home it was terrible, old and dry. The duck clearly was old and not fresh. Would not recommend coming here

Asked for less fatty cut and got leaner meat and tasted great!
$10 all in, included standard rice and veggies.

You wouldn't typically come to an old food court for the atmosphere nor service, but it's clean and comfortable enough, with plenty of Asian culture around.

Will be back!

Well i personally love bbq so give this place a try! Fail me big time. I did not expect pig ear in my rice combo but i do expect duck inside unfortunately no duck like what is in the picture. I didnt complaint on spot because it was my first time. When i got home it roasted pork was almost completely just fat and taste pretty smell like the pig ear. The only thing i enjoy in that rice combo was the salty egg! The califlower was dirty is like straight from the dirt. No more Chinese food court!
