I normally don't write google reviews but we were shocked by what happened at the restaurant. We decided to come here to celebrate my friends' birthday but left unhappy and hungry. First of all, the appetizer and our mains all came at the same time within seconds. We had no time to slowly enjoy our apps as we wanted to eat our mains quickly before it gets cold.
Portions were so small. We all left hungry. The portion they served for the salad was ridiculous for the price they charged. Food was mediocre especially the risotto.
We sat down around 6:20 and ordered shortly after. At around 7:30, they brought us our bill and at 7:40, they asked us to leave!! We are here celebrating our friends' birthday and having a great conversation that was interrupted by them asking us to leave because there were other reservations. There were other empty tables around us that were empty for the whole time we were there. We were there barely more than an hour and asking us to leave was unreasonable. We left in shock and we wished we had said something at that time but we were too surprised to say anything. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this restaurant and we do not recommend it at all!!!

We had reserved a table for four, but unfortunately we ended up waiting for almost an hour, which was quite disappointing. After the long wait, and based on the server’s recommendation, we ordered two “special” pastas that were not on the menu. In my opinion, they weren’t high quality and didn’t feel special at all. It seemed like the chef might have overcooked a batch and simply offered it to us. The price was also higher than any pasta on the menu, which didn’t feel fair considering the portion size and quality.
I didn’t enjoy the pizza either. We came based on our friends’ recommendation, so maybe our expectations were a bit high. The restaurant felt expensive for what it offered — the quality of the ingredients was average to below average and not satisfying. I’m genuinely curious whether an authentic Italian food lover would accept this level of quality. Personally, I won’t be returning.
The staff, however, were friendly and pleasant.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the consistent high quality of the food. Everything was delicious from start to finish. We ordered 2 appetizers and 5 entrees overall. We knew that once the Cavolo kale salad exceeded expectations that the rest of the food would be enjoyable. The mushroom pizza was fantastic as well and exceeded many of other other favorite upscale places for pizzas and is probably the best one we've ever had (Toronto + Italy). The seafood linguine was nice and the squid was perfectly cooked. We tried out a daily special with gorgonzola, orechiette, chicken, and mushroom was delicious albeit a bit heavy. The pastas across their variety of noodles were all perfectly cooked. The pizza crusts were closer to a NY style pizza so the crust is more substantial than what you might find in an Italian pizzeria but it supported the generous toppings on the pizzas. The parma pizza was a bit too salty for us.
Service was prompt and polite and came with good menu recommendations.

The service was warm, attentive, and genuine. Our waitress had an impressive knowledge of both the menu and wine list, offering thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our preferences. The food was outstanding. Beautifully executed pastas and flavours that were comforting and refined. Presentation was elegant without feeling overdone, every course arrived at the perfect pace. Overall, it was a truly memorable fine dining experience with excellent service, exceptional food, and a team that clearly cares about creating something special. Already looking forward to returning.
Always great service. The Cacio di Pepe is worth the trip, when you can get it. The new wine list is improved too. The only issue is the ongoing road closures with detours everywhere, making accessing the restaurant difficult.
The food was so delicious and the service was really great too! Our group ordered diferent dishes all delicious. Staf was very friendly!!
love it

From the moment we arrived, our experience was nothing shy of exceptional. Allyson provided us with top notch service. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and made our night so memorable. She took time to understand our tastes, guided us through the wine list with thoughtful explanations and selected bottles that everyone at our table enjoyed. Service was seamless, everything we needed she anticipated ahead of time, never intrusive. The food was truly outstanding. Fresh, vibrant, and full of flavour. The daily specials were a highlight. All pizzas and pastas are homemade. With phenomenal food, the most welcoming of staff and a cozy, refined atmosphere, we will be back.
Nice quaint neighbourhood restaurant, somewhat overly attentive, felt like they are clock watching...

Overall the food was very good , service was also good, except we ordered 2 non-alcoholic cocktail drinks and specified to give us less ice, and our server said no problem, but when the drinks came, almost half of the glass were ice...just this was a bit disappointed and we did not want to ruin our mood to celebrate our friend's retirement and did not say anything to the server. Nevertheless, our server never asked how was everything, otherwise, I would say something
First time here and we had an incredible evening here. The food was amazing you can taste the freshness and care in every dish. Dinner specials were excellent. But what really made it special was the warmth of the staff. Our waitress was top notch, warm and knowledgeable, she anticipated our every need and made us feel so special and taken care of. A truly beautiful experience from start to finish.
This place is a MUST dine - it is outstanding. The ambience, service, and food were all top tier. Special thank you to Melanie for taking such good care of us. We will certainly be back to dine again.
This place is falling apart with the drywall crumbling all over the second floor. Food quality has gotten worse and way over priced.
We were blown away not just by the food but by how genuinely welcomed we felt. Allie remembered us from our last visit and was warm, attentive and genuinely kind. The food was nothing short of exceptional, beautifully presented and full of flavour. We left feeling full and could not stop talking about how truly wonderful and heartfelt the service felt. A true Unionville gem.
