First time here with my family and it didn't disappoint. Finding an Austrian restaurant is difficult, so expectations are high. There were so many great choices. We had the cabbage rolls, dumplings, meat platter (2 plate sized schnitzel, 2 smoked pork chops, 2 sausages, sauerkraut, and pan fried potatoes), palatschinken (apricot crepes), and apple fritters. There was nothing left on our plates and we took some of the main course home. Service was friendly and timely. Prices are so good too! We will definitely return to try some more dishes!

Indeed a nice dining experience in this old cozy German restaurant. Note that their entrance is not the front door.

Linda really made the meal, the food was good but her service was phenomenal. Didn't know there was still wait staff that was that attentive. Will be coming back

I had my worst restaurant experience here. When we first walked in and asked for cappuccino, the lady rudely yelled “No!” And said the machine was broken, then ordered Viennese coffee instead.
After finishing, we asked the waiter this time about the dessert - he told me I couldn’t order unless I also ordered food. When I asked why , he mocked me and said I can go to Starbucks or somewhere else for sweets.

To make things worse, he then brought the bill and even asked for a tip after treating us so disrespectfully. The place also smelled bad

I felt humiliated- I’ve never experienced this kind of rude and unprofessional behaviour at any restaurant before. They could have simply explained their policy politely. I will never return and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

I really hope the management addresses the behaviour of their staff

Went here for first time. Very homey atmosphere. Food is authentic Austrian and delicious. We had the liver dumpling soup, meat platter, cheese schnitzel, sausages and dessert. Our server Linda was amazing, especially given how packed the place was; so friendly, happy and very helpful with menu picks…. Apple fritters and apple strudel were must tries. We decided this will be a new family favourite spot for home cooked Austrian food.

Great authentic food. Delicious. Servers took care of us well. We had a special event in the back room. I'd eat there again. Thank you.

We did not have a reservation on a busy Saturday evening but they found us a place on the patio.

Our Server was very friendly and the pace of service was just right. Plus we loved the food, given that we are afficionados of hearty European fare.

Ausgezeichnet!

People, just be aware. If a certain person is your server, please double and triple check your bill . I think we all know who we're talking about.

Huge disappointment. Not authentic food, full prices aren't on the menu. Raw potatoes with dinner, all of our plates. We called the manager/owner who didn't apologize but merely told our party of 5 'that's how we cook them, al dente'. Afraid to use any oil because of cheap out. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not into raw potatoes - with zero seasoning. Make sure when you ask for a vegetable you ask how much they will add on your bill. Spetzle - boiled, dry with zero sauce. My friend complained they brought her a gravy bowl of Goulash soup to pour on, then had the nerve to charge for it. Worst dinner place to eat. Cannot recommend.
