I enjoy Montreal-style bagels and this is where I've been usually buying mine in Ottawa for the last few years. Unfortunately today was my last visit. I'll be shopping elsewhere moving forward. Not because of the quality of the product but due to customer service.

Just stopped in to have a Montreal smoked meat for lunch. The place looked closed. The person at cash mumbled and didn't seem to care. The food was mediocre at best. But my biggest complaint here was that the restaurant was filthy! There was food on the floor, unknown other stuff on the window sill! Disgusting!
Went in at 5:50pm, ordered and paid for my food, and then the employee begins to tell me “next time, if you could come earlier, we close at 6”. Incredibly unnecessary to remind me of the hours, the place was still open for 10 mins. If you didn’t want to serve any customers, lock the door. After making my food, she then tries to tell me it’s because they could be out of bagels... if you were out of the bagels I wanted, I would have understood.
