Ruby House Chinese Food - VANIER

The chicken Soo Guy was tough to chew the General tos chicken, I don’t know what kind of chicken it was if it was even chicken. I should have known better before I ordered.

The open ended egg roll is amongst the finest in the city. The egg roll served here is slightly shorter than one might be accustomed to. It is crispy and the pork flavours come through in what can only be described as an eruption of flavours. Move over Golden Palace, you’ve met your match! Can’t wait to order them again.

1. Meat is clean cuts, your not biting into chunks of fat
2. Noodles and rice are not soggy or dry genuinely fresh

Overall quality food you can tell the staff actually cares about what is leaving this place. Will be ordering again!

Food was much better the next day. Maybe best to not order in when it is so hot out. The spring rolls were good, as was the lemon chicken.

The beef and broccoli was a bit too salty and hot and sour soup was overseasoned.

This was my first time at Ruby's. The guy at the front was super nice and polite. But once we got home to eat the food was terrible. I ordered chow mein and beef and broccoli came just under 40$. Everything tasted like fish and it was super slimy. The beef taste and texture was like fish. Just very dispointing and it was not just me my entire family tasted it and couldn't eat more then 1 or 2 bites .

Rude.

I was shocked by how I was approached. I smiled not out of disrespect, but because I was uncomfortable and didn’t know how to react — English is my fourth language. There was only a 2–3 minute delay between my arrival and the app confirmation.

Your aggressive response and dramatic accusations (cameras, employer, harassment) are completely disproportionate. I stayed calm and respectful. You, on the other hand, were rude and dismissive.

This 1-star is for your arrogant attitude, not for the food.

A couple months ago we ordered from the Vanier location and had the best service ever! They have a wonderful and easy to find vegetable option where they offer completely vegetarian friendly and tasty options and it's the first time I've seen a decent sized vegetarian section. The person on the phone was SO NICE and even threw in a free rice with our order. Food was delivered fresh and hot and prices were good. We have since tried other Chinese take out in the area and nothing has come close to the same level of service. This morning we woke up with a craving for Chinese food and it didn't take us long at all to decide where we were ordering from! Ruby House will be our go to from now on!

My husband and I ordered from here and got terrible food poisoning.

We got some take away packs of food here! The portions were large!

Beware! You might not be able to finish them if you’re eating alone! Had leftovers for breakfast 🤣

Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long long time. I had comb. Plate #4. There were big chunks of chicken in the chicken balls and the garlic spare ribs were the most tender, meat falling of the bones. Thank you.

I've ordered there 4x, each time the fried rice (beef etc) was dry and bland, tonight the beef vegetables were overly salty, as with the not-chow mein onion-filled junk that was sent.
I wont be ordering from there again

The NICEST person answered to take my delivery order TWICE when I made sure that the restaurant offered their own delivery.

AND then I was told it would be up to an hour arrived in 20 minutes HOT and FRESH and OMG the eggrolls weigh a lot.

If ever I could recommend a wonderful food experience this is one of my best I don't have a lot of money so ordering isn't often but THIS is so worth it you have never had Chinese food as good as Ruby House.

I swear Vanier is a Foodie heaven full of hidden gems like this one.
