Tim Hortons never disappoints when it comes to quick, delicious coffee and snacks! Their freshly brewed coffee is always on point, and the variety of donuts and Timbits is unbeatable. The staff at Ottawa are always friendly and efficient, even during busy hours. Whether it’s grabbing a quick breakfast sandwich or a mid-day pick-me-up, it’s my go-to spot. Affordable, consistent, and always satisfying!

My husband and I try with every effort to bring our own containers and mugs when we go to restaurants and coffee shops for take-aways, in an attempt to minimize the use of plastics containers and cups as much as possible. When I attempted to do that today, I was told they can't do that, they can make my ice cap using a plastic cup and then pour it into my mug, which is completely missing the point of saving the plastic cup.
One of the workers said "what's the point?" Well, the point is to minimize the use of plastics so that future generations can still have a somewhat decent planet to live on.
If this is a food safety issue, just know that we have called Health Canada, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Ontario Food and Safety, and the Ottawa Food Inspector, all of whom told us they have no policies that would prevent a food place from using reusable containers brought in by the customer.
In addition, coffee shops like Bridgehead not only allow you to do that, they reward you for it.
So can Tim Hortons please get on with the times and change your rigid, lazy way of thinking? The planet and I will appreciate you for it.
P.S. If more people also went in with their own mugs, perhaps that will help push Tim Hortons in the right direction sooner rather than later.

Bet you this is probably the worst tim in Ottawa. Change my mind.
They ran out of coffee there was a line up out the door and then they actually had to ask if they wanted us if we wanted them to make more coffee! WHAT!?
