I needed to reenergize after playing tennis nearby. I stopped by here for a quick bite and was surprised to see that this is mostly a carryout joint with only a few small tables. The boss lady who took my order is super friendly. I ordered the seafood chow mein which tasted very good for fast food. Not too salty. The noodles were crispy but not burnt. The price was fair and the portion huge.

Value value value. Mama and Papa shop serving up large portions at a fair price. Good Cantonese food with an extensive menu. Their specialty is congee (rice porridge), but their noodle stir-fries are also good.
A great choice for takeout on nights you don't feel like cooking. They don't speak English well, so review the menu and order by number. Also asked them how long, when it gets busy it can take an hour. They don't communicate this well if you do not ask.
My reviews take into account what's around at a similar price point.

It's so sad, we've been ordering from here over 10 years. The lady used to be SO nice, ordered on Christmas day. She was yelling on the phone. I went in to pick up my food that I placed with her. Once again yelling their closed. I told her it's OK to be nice and Merry Christmas.... CUSTOMER SERVICE TERRIBLE, SHES SO RUDE AND MISERABLE....

To be honest food is good and you cant go wrong for that. But the only ONE thing that we cant stand is the Owners Attitude. She really needs to change for attitude or else she wil loose a lot of customers. She is so IMPATIENT in taking orders and she will tell you You need to hurry up because shes ALONE at the store. Well, as a customer.. its not my issue if she is understaff.. she needs to hire staff if she thinks she is getting busy. I was on the phone with her and giving her my orders and she suddenly gave me an attitude I said.. u know what.. forget it.. just cancel my order.. and We just decided to go somewhere else. Please improve your service Anne. Worst customer service!!!!!

As always Ann's is probably the best take-out restaurant in york region. Food is timely but they will be upfront with you during the busy holidays. Favorite dish is their seafood chow mein.
Easily the worst customer service/person answering the phone taking orders. “Ann” tells me that food will be an hour to pick up because they have party trays to make, I say okay and then she says it’ll be 1.5 hrs. So now I’m confused.
I give her my order which is 8 dishes, because I’m ordering for a family gathering and “Ann” says oh how come you order so much?? I guess they don’t want us to order from? Very confused again.
“Ann” is pushy on the phone. “Ann” is aggressive on the phone. Not much choice in this area since Congee Wong at Promenade closed down. And I’ve eaten at many of the congee brand restaurants. The food is okay, but if anyone has an alternative to this place, please let me know.

First off, the restaurant is hard to reach. Owner was talking to me like I was “slow” when she is the one who cannot hear or understand.
Upgrade your phone if you can’t hear, but talking to someone as if they are dumb and slow? Nah…. Never again.
