A Must-Visit Gem for Your Sweet Tooth!
If there is such a thing as a local institution, Grodzinski’s is it.
This isn't just a place to pick up a loaf of bread; it is a full sensory experience from the moment you pull into the parking lot.
The first thing that hits you is the smell. It’s that deep, comforting aroma of sugar, yeast, and warmth that makes you forget your diet instantly.
I’ve been to many bakeries across
the GTA, but Grodzinski’s manages to feel like a neighborhood secret and a high-end patisserie all at once.
The Creations
The artistry here is incredible. Their cakes are visual masterpieces, but they don't sacrifice flavor for looks.
The sponges are moist, the creams are silky, and every bite feels like a celebration.
Whether you are looking for a simple morning pastry or a show-stopping cake for a birthday, they deliver every single time.
Safety and Sustainability
One of the most impressive things about this shop is their commitment to being nut-free and Kosher (COR). For families with allergies, this is a total game changer. It is rare to find a place where you don't have to compromise on taste or variety just to stay safe.
They are also doing their part for the planet. If you love a good deal, keep an eye on the TooGoodToGo app. They offer surprise bags at the end of the day filled with delicious, highly discounted treats. It is the perfect way to try a variety of their bakes while helping to reduce food waste.
Why You Need to Go Today:
• Freshness: You can tell nothing has been sitting on a shelf. The textures are perfect.
• The Challah: It is legendary for a reason. Golden, pillowy, and slightly sweet.
• The Variety: From traditional staples to modern, colorful pastries, there is something for everyone.
• The Value: Between their daily fresh items and the TooGoodToGo bags, there is a treat for every budget.
If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and go (they are closed on Saturdays and close early on Fridays).
Grab a coffee, pick out a few different treats, and see why this place is the heartbeat of the local food scene.
Your taste buds will thank you.

New owners?
1) the website goes to TOVA
2) called the store to tell it
3) was given the website address 3 times, entered it 3 times, each time was an unsecure site
4) explained I want to see the menu to purchase sufganyot from their peanut free facility, same answer .... go to website (that doesn't exist)
Listen, it's very easy to roll one's eyes when a customer is advising (aka complaining).
That said, customer service kinda sucks, there is little fluctuation when speaking to staff.
Thank you for your time, Richmond Bakery is happy to meet our needs 🙏

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies (CCC) are sooooo good!
I've never been to this bakery, but I ended up buying their Lady Fingers cookies at a Longos. And, oh my gosh, they're amazing with those little ends dipped in chocolate. Paired with a cup of blueberry tea and I couldn't ask for anything else for my afternoon. Thank you all!!

One of the best sweet kosher challas I have ever tasted. We even have family in Brooklyn NY and whenever we come they place their order for 6 large ones. The grandchildren love them. Also I do enjoy the cakes and also the rye breads with kimmel. The service is also outstanding. They really respect and appreciate customers.

Bought 4 sufganiot today remembering how 2 years ago they were amazing. Was told its fresh batch too.... and let me tell you the dough felt like it was a week old and super thick without flavour. The jam....well there was almost none as it was a teaspoon of artificial jam Tim Hortons uses. Compared to Amadeus, Landwers they just don't compare. Worst sufganiot I ever had :(((

Fantastic service. The bread was great, too. Thank you.
The crown hallels for the holiday were not as wonderful as those made by the previous owner of this location. They were very disappointing.
What happened to the friendly helpful employees this place used to have? A question gets a scowl. The prices are just unreasonable to go along with the poor service.
It is closed!!! Hours are wring.
What happened to the wonderful staff who used to watmly greet and offer to help patrons? The current staff barely look up from their tasks or chatting with each other. The food may be just as good as before, but there is no joy in shopping here.A bakery should be a warm place. Has there been a change in ownership with a change in philosophy?
