Jackson-Triggs' Cabernet Franc Icewine used to be the industry's best. Not anymore. I'm sitting in JT winery right now writing this, and I can say with certainty that Alvento's Cab Franc Icewine kicks it out of the park.Inhale the bouquet, you would swear you were sticking your nose into a bowl of strawberries, with some rhubarb on the side. Absolutely superb! Could be the best Cab Franc Icewine in the world! Highly recommended by Dr. Piton, big wall wine aficionado.
Maybe this is a hidden gem or maybe the secret is out. Fantastic small place with great wines and an even more fantastic owner who will show you the place and tell you all you wanted to know about wines. Highly recommended
