This place is an absolute gem! It’s so good that I had to return the next day during my visit to Waterloo - the food and vibes are wonderful & unique!

I have been before and I would have rated this restaurant extremely high. Tonight, it took a very long time to get our food and when we did it was not very good. The wait staff did their best. However, she definitely dropped the ball at the end. Again so much waiting and then the product was just not anything special at all. I would have recommended this restaurant the first time I went but I brought a new friend with me tonight and we will definitely not be back or recommending this restaurant. Very disappointing. The manager should have came over and should have apologized. Had that happened I would not be writing this review.

I had a lovely brunch at Bodega with a friend! It’s a really cute spot with a nice assortment of choices on the menu. Our server was attentive and friendly and we both really enjoyed our food.

We opted for the patio and while the weather was perfect the noise from the traffic was a bit annoying. Food and server were excellent

The atmosphere at the restaurant is so nice, the second you walk in there’s a wall of roses that set the vibe of the restaurant. The food was amazing when we went for brunch and the wait staff is so friendly and fast to serve. We were served by Malena and she was so kind. I will be coming back to try the dinner menu!

Went here for my 2 year anniversary dinner, food was exceptional, drinks were amazing and even better was the service. Prices were really good too! Our server Malena gave such exceptional service, she assisted us with everything and was super friendly and kind. Will be coming back!

Turned away with half the place empty. Apparently all the vacant tables were reserved for people who no showed. You’ll need a reservation here…not for the food, but for the attitude.

Ambience was nice but it was very loud and conversation was tough. The service was great but the food was very underwhelming and way overpriced. The scallops appeared to have been cut in half so likely 2-3 scallops made to look like 6. The sizing of the dishes were quite small compared to the cost and some were entree priced but were more of a shareable. Menu lacks descriptions so you aren’t clear on the seasonings or how things are cooked ie fried or roasted or grilled or baked. They appear to trying to be upscale but it is just mediocre. The taste was just meh and things weren’t cooked properly, the brussel sprouts were way overcooked. The wine glasses were cloudy and we asked for them to be exchanged and they came back not much different.

Bodega when it first opened was phenomenal, however I’m honestly not so sure now.

The first photo is the beet salad that I got in 2023, the second photo is the exact same beet salad I got last night. The portion was much smaller, and the red beets were so sour they were almost not edible. I actually coughed when I took the first bite as it was so sour, however the golden beets were very neutral and still good. The whole dish lacked dimension unlike it previously did.

The drinks were still great, but the food was really lacking comparatively to the last time few times I have been there.

The Delicious Brunch at Bodega Rose – A Must-Visit!

Bodega Rose was the perfect spot for a brunch outing with friends! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The cozy yet stylish decor created a relaxed vibe, making it an ideal place to catch up and enjoy a great meal.

The menu had a fantastic selection, with something for everyone. The food was absolutely delicious—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I had Matcha 🍵 Latte with coconut 🥥 milk and Beet salad with added grilled chicken on the side. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed.

Overall, Bodega Rose delivered an amazing brunch experience. Whether you’re looking for a casual meet-up with friends or a new go-to brunch spot, this place is a winner. Can’t wait to come back!
