Everything arrived on time, hot and great amount of food for around the 20 people we had. Not a single complaint was heard. Everyone enjoyed the food and went back for seconds. The chicken was juicy, potatoes and rice were very tasty and hot, the salad was soo fresh! Would recommend to anyone I know 100x over. Thank you so much again to Mario, and all the staff at The Mediterraneo for such amazing service. Ps. Couldn’t get a photo because everyone got in there right away, and how can you blame them?! “I visited the place with my friends on other day. I went there with normal expectations BUT I must say it was the right decision. They have many options in various categories of non-conventional food. The delicacies were reasonably priced and tasty. The owner is friendly and helped with choices. Last but not the least, it remains open till late night so no more hunting for food. Overall the pleasant visit and would recommend this eatery for great taste and easy on pocket. Cheers.”

Their creatively composed cocktails were nothing short of liquid art, with the 'IYKYK' and 'Simply the Zest' being two standouts. Each dish we had the pleasure of enjoying left our taste buds tantalized and in awe of the creativity and passion the chef, Krasimir, was putting in. A few of our favourite dishes included the wild mushroom risotto, the glazed short rib, and the lamb shank. Ultimately, what truly set S&V apart from other fine dining establishments was the extremely attentive and personable service from Jill, Aaron and team. Thank you S&V, for a phenomenal evening. “I had a pretty good experience from Exclamation Fusion. The food was insanely good, I had the curry don. I can’t tell if i was just hungry at the time but it was the best japanese curry i’ve had. The chicken was extremely juicy and soft. the little pieces of cabbage was a nice touch.The rice was really yummy too! My partner said it was spicy but I think it was more hot than spicy, even then I cant usually handle really spicy food but this was perfect, no spicy feeling for me. I really liked it then most when it was really hot and fresh :) devoured it in 5 mins. Price is pretty good for the serving I paid 17 dollars with the 2 dollar coke included. Server was so nice, long wait time though, but it was worth the wait :)”

“A high end restaurant around here used to be a business casual dress code, featured a lightly seasoned steak, a prime rib dinner, a dynamite caesar salad, a pasta dish, a seafood dish a few other signatures with an extensive wine list. All the food was made from quality ingredients, expertly prepared and the service was professional and caring. All of this is still expected in high end dining but one thing I felt was absent for a while was originality. I still fancy the local favourites but it was hard to find something unfamiliar. In the last decade, Waterloo has been invaded with delightfully unique higher end dining ventures. Steaks served with aggressive and colourful sauces. First course flavour explosions served out of a micro spoon. Exotic treasures from the sea like octopus or blow torched fish instead of grilled. The palate of the Kitchener-Waterloo region is expanding and in my opinion, for the better. The latest addition to our fine dining core is Babylon Sisters, a wine bar where simplicity done well is taken seriously, like a tuxedo. A black and white colour scheme, accented by silver, button bound leather bar stools softly lit by candle light. The Art Deco ambience is quietly stated above the sight lines. The long narrow venue is subtly divided into a bar, to a high top seated dining room and then into a retro 70’s high back vinyl booth seating area. The patio is vibrant, connected to adjacent venues. It’s very southern U.S. or Caribbean in it’s street social vibe. The two menus consist of two things: One is Wine. One is food to compliment the wine. It’s a bold statement to start your wine menu off in Canada with Ontario wines if you want to be recognized as a wine bar. Too often Ontario wine is poo pooed but to me, it just tells me whoever does the menu here has taste because Ontario has world wide award winning wines. Beyond the local selections, lots of old world wines, not the usual's you see on menus in town and offered in three ounce portions. A great concept to anyone who desires the variety of different wine flavours but doesn’t want to spend a fortune on higher end wine. Not to mention doesn’t want to drink two bottles worth of wine just to get variety. I went with the classic accompaniments with my wines, olives and cheese. A great mix of pitted olives. Queens, kalamata and cocktails, oiled up with a garlic clove. They were salty, fresh and firm. The cheese was a mix of brie, camembert and blue. I thought it was going to be mild, mild and explosive blue cheese but alas, the camembert and brie were far from mild. Normally I find those cheeses bland but they were carefully selected and well prepared. The camembert was woody and earthy. The Brie was almost whipped. The texture of the cheeses when topped on the bread turned the chewy bread into a supple ball of joy. When mixed with either the honey preserve or onion butter it was out of this world. The combination of the olives, cheese, pastes, wine and ambience was nothing like anything else in town. Oddly, across the street I could see Streetlights, another newer venue in town. A fruity coloured place that lives where Chainsaw used to be and it’s something, again, unfamiliar. All of this felt like an escape. I went in and out of Babylon Sisters expecting a nice drink but instead felt like I had a vacation. This is what I always want from a venue. Something unique. Something to take the rest of my day away so I can just enjoy the moment. Hats off to this brilliant new place.”
“Our family enjoyed our lunch at Rosel's. The food was fresh and flavourful and Rosel was so kind and welcoming. She seems to be both an expert chef and business owner. We ordered the Merienda platter which was just right for our family of five with the addition of some banana fritters and Turon for dessert. I'd also highly recommend the refreshing pineapple soda that was on tap the day we visited. We will be definitely be back and have already recommended Rosel's to our friends. Can't wait to try some of the other dishes!”

“We went for a south Asian-themed sampler meal which was $100 per person. Ordinarily this is out of my price range but it was for a special evening. I was not disappointed at all. The four courses were quite different and targeted every taste bud. The chef, Sean came out to explain the dishes and what flavours to expect. Our waiter Hayley was attentive and also helpful with talking us through some dishes. Sommelier Jake offered wines for each course that balanced the flavours. A great, well-paced evening with more food than we could eat!”

The 'supervisor' from last night did report the incident to the manager and when I went in today the shift manager I spoke to bent over backwards to make this right for me. She said she just needed to see the proof that the money came out of my account, which of course i provided for her. It was the same proof that i showed the person from last night, my banking app that clearly showed a deduction of $20.53 from my account, paid to Tim Hortons. We settled on having the money put on a giftcard that I can load to my app for future use. I am an almost daily visitor to Tim Hortons. I have never had a customer service issue so it shocked me. Today's customer service was above reproach so I am amending my review to 5 stars from 1. Thank you to Tim Hortons staff for making it right today. $20 may not seem like much, but for this senior living on a fixed income, $20 is a big deal!!Visited the drive thru at the location closest to Costco Waterloo, Friday March 22/24 at 7:35pm. I ordered a small ice capp, a large ice capp and a sweet chili loaded bowl. The total came to $20.53.I got to the window, checked to see that my scan and pay was activated on my phone and the person scanning said, how will you be paying. I informed her that I had used scan and pay, rechecked to make sure the scan and pay was toggled to 'on'... it was. She said it didn't go through. I said, let me check my banking app to make sure the payment didn't go through and the payment had indeed gone through and my bank account was debited $20.53. I showed her my bank app screen and told her it did go through, as evidenced by the debit of the exact amount of the order with the item line reading, "TIM HORTONS #76_V". She argued that my Tim Hortons app was not working and the scan and pay did not work because it didn't show up on her terminal. I responded by saying the problem is not on my end because VERY CLEARLY, the scan and pay DID work as the exact amount was debited from my account. She had scanned the code on my phone app and the payment was instantly deducted from my visa debit... = a successful SCAN AND PAY!!I asked to speak to a manager and she said there was no manager, that she was the supervisor and there was nothing she could do. I again showed her my phone banking app and we continued to bounce back and forth. She asked me what I wanted her to do and I said to give me the order I clearly paid for. Her response, "I can't do that. It is not showing on my screen. Your Tim Hortons app is the problem". I told her the app worked fine, that it is her terminal that is the issue and she said no, there is no issue with her terminal, it is my app... you know, the app that same app that successfully scanned the code and successfully deducted the exact payment from my bank account!She said there was nothing she could do. Too bad for me. She didn't apologize. She didn't give me a number to call. Worst customer service I have ever encountered at Tim Hortons... and you have her working as a supervisor!! Nice one!! I will be visiting the store on Saturday March 23rd to speak to a real manager because your evening supervisor is completely incompetent.I'm not sure if this will show up on an end of shift reconciliation of the drive thru till, but your numbers will be off by $20.53 because you took my money and didn't produce an order.”

“I walk by here every day on my way home from work. Today I finally decided to give it a try! I ordered the Tempura Bento and Chicken Karaage. Both were delicious! Neither of these dishes were overly greasy in texture and they were both wonderfully seasoned! The service was quick and the servers were polite and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing and the decor was stylish and eye-popping. Overall, I really enjoyed the food! I wish I would have tried it sooner! Definitely looking forward to going again! I love waffles, the Fiesta skillet, most of the omelettes, and generally the quality and freshness of ingredients used. The drip coffee tastes great, too. However, some of the sweeter breakfast options at this restaurant are a little too sweet for my liking. The hash browns could also be crispier and better seasoned.In my experience, the staff at Korner Kitchen has always gone above and beyond to provide a great service to their guests. The interior is bright, spacious, and clean, with a positive vibe. It is definitely one of my go-to restaurants for brunch in the KW area.”

She handled it promptly and graciously. Our server, Monika, was equally gracious, top notch. She made out substitutions in a very accommodating way, paced the serving of the food wonderfully, and touched base with us but not intrusively. And a surprise birthday crème brûlée was beautifully presented to our friend. She even paid attention to who in our party was the birthday woman. The experience was brilliant from start to finish. I just want to relive the first bite. The sauce was spicy yet the sweetness perfectly recovered you from it. Glossy. Loved how there were a couple fries thrown in. (Also crunchy !), The originals were bit bland like I was left wanting for somthing but still incredibly good just dipped them in a lil salt n leftover drippings of sauce. The pieces in the middle that were half saucy and half original were absolute bliss haha. Overall I really recommend this place or atleast their fried chicken! Irresistible. “We went to the Boardwalk location on January 27, 2024. The place was busy and our server, Vanshika was wonderful. All the servers that I could see were just about running around trying to keep customers happy and serve us as quickly as possible.There was a bit of a wait for our food, but they told us as we walked in that it would be 20 minutes for white meat. They were upfront about it.Our appetizer and meals were fresh, warm and delicious. They even offered free desserts because of the wait. We were out for a Saturday night meal and were more than happy to be served when the food was ready.We did overhear one lady complaining about the wait, and the gentleman who dealt with her had the patience of a saint. He did an excellent job keeping his cool with a difficult customer. The staff that night did a fantastic job.We will keep going back as the food is excellent every time we go.”

“Discoverd this gem today while I was out and about, what a wonderful cafe! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming and it is kept very clean. The staff are wonderful!I had the chance to meet the owner, a lovely fellow, he offered me a delicious sample of the made fresh daily soup while I waited for my coffees to brew. This was actually the second time I went in today, I stopped in earlier to grab a coffee while I was in the area, I ended up getting a coffee and a banana bread muffin. The muffin was honestly the best muffin I have had, it was a europhic experience eating it.
