“Wow this place makes a delicious smash burger. I order the double combo and loved every bite. My only complaint is that they no longer serve fresh cut fries but I understand that these are labour intensive and consistency in quality is difficult. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, not bad for a frozen french fry.”

“I was really impressed with the Breakfast Combo! It was substantial with the sides of chutneys and the potato masala was delicious- not very hot to suit those who can't take too much hot spice!!!! The cardamom chai was excellent. Purnisha (hope the spelling is correct) is a gracious hostess! We will definitely visit again and try out other dishes!”

“The prices at this place are pretty good. 2 rolls for $10 is the daily special. We got the spicy salmon and crab avocado roll ($10 daily special). The weekly special (around $12.95) which is the dynamite roll and spicy salmon roll and then lastly the salmon poke bowl (around $17.95).

Usually when I eat sushi I feel like I got hit by a truck after but when I ate here I felt great. The salmon tastes amazing and they give you big fatty pieces in the poke bowl. The texture of the rice is different than other sushi places though. I can’t put my finger on how it’s different, it’s not a bad thing though and may have contributed to why I don’t feel so full and bloated after. I am definitely coming back here again for a quick sushi fix!”

“My boyfriend and I absolutely love the taste of their yang yum red chicken! I've only been to a Korean BBQ so to find something like this small place in Waterloo is perfect. I original came for the kimbap but fell in love with the chicken and bulgolgi bao sandwich. Highly recommend the yang yum meal set because it comes with so much and the japchae noodles are delicious!”

The owners are independent, kind, giving to the community, selfless, generous, and they have good hearts. I recommend anyone, student or career person, to visit this restaurant. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and you're not supporting a soulless machine corporation. They're worth every penny. Definitely try their food.”

“I want to personally thank the team at Sole for such an amazing birthday dinner !! The few times I have come I have always had a great experience but when I went to book online it looked like it was full booked up. Aniko saw my post looking for different options made it happen and found us a table! I thought that was the great deed end there but the whole experience made me feel so extremely special. Being welcomed in like I was a friend to when I got to my table I had flowers and a birthday card waiting for me🥹 those who have December birthdays know we often get slacked but the team made me truly feel special! Drink options were delicious and made fresh. Had a baked Brie with fresh mixed berry sauce as an appetizer. Dinner was phenomenal I had smoked chicken (tasted like the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had) and for dessert they came out with a special birthday crème brûlée and truffles! As a group we also ordered the triple layer chocolate cake (will be something I will be dreaming of for a while haha). To share what my friends had- a salmon with a salad and beef short rib. Everything was so delicious and cooked perfectly. You can tell they take time to think about proper pairing/flavouring and how to make the food taste good. Thank you again Solé Uptown (especially Aniko) everyone I strongly recommend if you are looking to have a great dining experience to go to Sole ❤️”
