“For anyone looking for an amazing ice cream experience this is your spot to go Not only do they have many flavours to choose from , but the waffle cones are the best. The lady who waited on me was the nicest person that I have come across in a long time she made me feel very special. Thank you for your kind words and an amazing experience”

“Awesome beers in the hamlet of Shakespheare!!”

“Aug 2026.

We went to Stratford for the festival and booked a table at Elizabeth. We loved it. Atmosphere great, service was great, our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Food was lovely. We will be returning in the future!”

“Always is generous! We love the food. This restaurant is one hour from our home. It’s definitely worth the drive. We highly recommend! Authentic Greek cuisine! Amazing!”

“The food is exceptional, clean, local, not full of all the chemicals you see in fast food and freezer food at the grocery store. The owners are independent, kind, giving to the community, selfless, generous, and they have good hearts. I recommend anyone, student or career person, to visit this restaurant. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and you're not supporting a soulless machine corporation. They're worth every penny. Definitely try their food.”

“Anytime I’m in Strafford for the night. I always make it a point to grab takeout from Tuque. I love the Shawarma bowl. I would recommend this place to anyone. Food is unbelievable, and the gentleman behind the counter is always friendly”

“Austin, our server and chef tonight was exceptional. He was very friendly. The food we had was terrific as was the beer. We will definitely stop in there again. Great place to eat and prices were reasonable.”

“Stopped by Scan & Dram in New Hamburg and had the fish & chips with French fries — absolutely delicious! The fish was perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside. The batter wasn’t greasy at all, just light and full of flavour. The French fries were golden, fresh, and seasoned just right — the perfect side to the fish. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and well made. Great food, great spot, and definitely somewhere I’d go back to when I’m craving classic fish & chips done right. Highly recommend! 🐟🍟”

“Very delicious burgers and fries.Amazing carrot cake. Friendly service and lovely owner, Nancy. Really enjoyed our lunch there.”

“Awesome service and good food”

“I have eaten a truly horrifying amount of sushi in my life. I've sampled the wares of dozens of establishments. This is goooood stuff, very fresh, not doused in cheap sauces, flavorful and made with care. Show them some love!

Edit: coming back four years after my initial review to report that these fine people are still making some of the best sushi you will eat outside of k/w or maybe London. Whatever they do with their fish is truly next level, melt in your mouth stuff.”

“Had Papa Johns from Stratford tonight. Excellent pizza. Very tasty. Lots of toppings. Manager is very friendly and efficient. The gluten free pizza was excellent with lots of toppings. Would 100% recommend this Papa Johns.”

“Outstanding service and fabulous food. They accommodated our large group with passion and friendliness - and a great lunch. Highly recommend.”

“ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Annie's Seafood Restaurant is a family favourite. The quality and their methods consistently create amazing and delicious food. Our server, Shaz is friendly, personable and professional. YOU SHOULD GO!”

“Exceptional service and food! Highly anticipated birthday dinner with loved ones- a must have experience in the heart of Stratford.”

“Was recommended this place when I mentioned I had to pick something up in Wellesley. Quaint spot, delicious baked goods!”

“I stopped in later in the day last Friday from London and grabbed the last loaf of sourdough and it was SO delicious. Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back and try some of the other breads and treats.”

“Tonight we ordered 2 pizzas for pick up. They were ready when we got there and the guys at the counter were super friendly.
I’m writing this review because I can honestly say that this was the best pizza we have had in a long time.
Awesome job guys and thank you.

Will definitely be coming back again.”

“Best pizza in town

Not gonna lie… I don’t post about food like this often.

Tried Pizza Arca in New Hamburg for the first time today and I liked it so much I couldn’t stop myself from sharing it here.

I’m pretty picky with pizza, so this says a lot. Always good to support a local spot that’s actually doing it right 🍕

First time trying Pizza Arca in New Hamburg today.”

“I love the history of Quehl's. i have visited here since the 1980s. I have introduced many people to them and they have nothing but praise.”

“I was starting to think that I was going to drown in a sea of tourist-influenced culinary mediocrity. The beautiful architecture and all its promise. I was thinking that the residents must bake their own bread since I had yet to find a genuine bakery after three days of walking/driving around Stratford. Then all-of-a-sudden - there she was! I don't have the words. Downie Street Bakery produces the kind of bread that Europeans treat with a reverence. These folks put in the time and passion. I was going. to leverage the daylight and tour some more but I had to get back to my friend's lovely historic mansion and dig into this sourdough. I'm talking Mana from Heaven. Too-bad Ontario butter is is such e barrasingly-horrendous crap. I'm going to have to make my own at a top-secret raw milk dairy operation for it to be worthy of such High-Art. Thank you Downie Street Bakery for raising me back up and making me a believer.”

“Demetre’s restaurant is my favourite, the food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is relax and cozy ! Thank you Leah and Demetre ❤️”

“What a great place for a healthy meal!”

“We dine here almost every Saturday, a hidden gem of New Hamburg. All day breakfast too!! Some of our favourites are the eggs Benedict, omelettes, burger and home fries, chicken greek salad. Huge portions, come hungry!”

“We were travelling through Wellesley on our way home from hockey and stopped to grab lunch. The subs were delicious, great to support a small local business.”

“Clean store, very well stocked with a great selection! Staff are so nice and knowledgeable and helpful! Only place we buy our meat now!”

“Great water and even better conversations! He’s always on time, super friendly, and the quality of the water is excellent. Service like this makes a real difference. Highly recommend Jamie and his staff Denise.”
