“Went in for a casual Friday dinner, (hadn’t come back in 2 years after a subpar experience but today changed that.) I noticed the place is great for BIG groups. There were atleast three of them dining in but it didn’t affect our service at all, food came in fast and hot and delicious! Got the teokkboki and snow cheese fried chicken. Rice cakes were incredibly soft n squishy felt fresh! That’s rare in experience. The chicken was juicy and crunchy. My friend was kinda annoyed by it being bone in haha. But I didn’t mind it. The fries. THE FRIES! A girl can always appreciate good fries. We also got 4 complimentary banchans. Overall take your friends and share some joy guys !“

“Ordered the rice cakes with ramen and seasoned fried chicken. We asked for less spicy and the rice cakes came watery… still tasted good but diluted. Fried chicken was BOMB, gochujangy sweet and saucy.

“We love Korean food and eat it fairly regularly but this was the first time trying Seoul Soul. It was good for what it is. We weren’t disappointed but we weren’t blown away by anything. It’s a casual local restaurant in the student area serving your typical Korean dishes at fair prices.

Service was quick, friendly and attentive. They refilled our side dishes quickly.

We got the kimchi pancake and pork bone soup. The pancake was good. The soup was good but a little too much fat for me. There were lots of pork bone (4 pieces) but just the one piece of potato. We really want to try their fried chicken another time as we hear it’s really good (just wasn’t in the mood for fried chicken that might).

Overall, a decent place for a quick Korean meal. I would say it’s average but have an extra star because they do deliver on what they are. What you see is what you get. They don’t claim to be some fancy Korean restaurant with the best quality food. I would go here over Owl but I do prefer other Korean restaurants in the area.

Parking: It’s in the University Plaza beside the University of Waterloo. There’s a huge lot which can get pretty full depending on when you go but there’s always a few spots available.“
