“Been a long time customer as Lin’s Garden and now as Kiwi Bowl both locations. Try the crab cheese wontons! A fantastic family favourite!“

“Upon arrival we were motioned to pick a seat. Grateful my Daughter and Son in law had been there before so we knew to order on our phone. The food came fast and hot. The soup was a great medium spice with noodles, pork and this unique delicious egg on top. They offered some extra noodles at no charge and some extra bone broth at a nominal charge. It was all so good, no absolutley amazing, if I am in KW again, this is a guaranteed stop. If you were in London, I'd be here weekly. O and that tiny ice-cream on a sugar cone. Topps off a perfect meal.“

“I walked in there and was greeted by a very pleasant person. Letting them know I was there for takeout and looked over their menu. I couldn't believe the combinations and the items they offered. It was such a wonderful, wonderful difficult choice of really beautiful food. The choices I made I did not regret it all.“

“If there was a 4.5 star rating I would give them that. The only way I would give them a 5 star was if all the dishes were excellent. I ordered four items, shanghai noodles, yeung chow fried rice, sauteed beef in Sichuan spice and kung pao chicken. The price for the quantity and quality is reasonable! The yeung chow fried rice and kung pao chicken was very delicious and amazing. The yeung chow fried rice had wok hei flavour (high smoke point wok on strong fire cooking which adds that smokey flavour to chinese cooking). The fried rice was perfect and authentic to Hong Kong style yeung chow. The kung pao chicken was also delicious from the batter to the deep fry. The batter when bit had a yellow hue to the batter and a bit of a lemon taste. To my surpise this was really good almost as if they added lemon zest to the batter. The acidity helped elevate the dish. The crisp was perfect on the outside and the chicken was soft and tender on the inside. Oil seemed to be fresh as well as there was no oil burns on the batter. Very job well done by the chef. However, the two points they lost on was the shanghai noodles and sauteed Sichuan beef. The beef was way too over powered by the cumin in the Sichuan spice mix and there was no depth of flavour from the beef. If there was more caramelization from the soy sauce and if they added ginger or garlic it might’ve given it more depth in my opinion. It was also missing the wok hei taste. Same with the Shanghai noodles, which was missing that wok hei flavour. The service was really good, the ladies there were very attentive and pleasant. If I’m back in Waterloo this will be my go to Chinese restaurant for this style of Chinese food.“

“I don’t really understand why people had a bad experience at this restaurant. I really like this restaurant and would go again. The vibe is really nice and their food is so delicious and comforting. The chef and server seemed very nice and polite as well. I definitely recommend going to Ye House!“

“went here as a group of 4 on a Friday night and there was no wait. we all got hotpot which was served fairly fast and everything tasted fresh and cooked nicely. was about $45 per person before tip! unlimited pops and comes with dessert (ice cream) at the end.“
“A wholesome family run, stereotypical hole-in-the wall place (Idk even if I should call it a restaurant) and there’s no english to read but the food is good I got the fried chicken and rice was juicy and crispy, funny I couldnt even order because they don’t speak Engish so I just pointed at the menu. If you like Chinese food for takeout and open minded just send it.“

“One of the best Chinese food spots in the Kitchener–Waterloo area. I’ve been ordering my way through their menu from the very first item, and now halfway in, every dish has been excellent. The chef is impressively generous with portions — both the meats and the vegetables.
The service and atmosphere aren’t fancy and as expected, but the quality of the food consistently meets and exceeds expectations.
I’ll definitely be coming back again and again.“

“The mapo tofu was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spicy with silky tofu and savory minced meat. The stir-fried dish was packed with fresh vegetables and tender meat, full of smoky wok flavor. Everything tasted authentic and freshly made. Great portion sizes and excellent service too. Definitely coming back again! 🍽️🔥“

“The food's always great. We always go there. Service is average, sometimes above, sometimes a bit below, since they're always busy. Since there are a lot of students dining in there, the dining room is sometimes a bit noisy. But overall, it's my wife's favorite place in Waterloo.“

“I rarely give really positive reviews but this is an exception. This is an excellent restaurant without qualification. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The service was polite, friendly and fast. The decor is attractive, intelligent and works. This is a place I intend to return to.“
